In the opening car chase, the woman is driving on the edge of a cliff, then up against a mountain, then back to the cliff, all in a few seconds.
Susan Alexander (Joan Van Ark) displays the magazine article in the restaurant scene at the end of the episode to show the picture of Jim Rockford holding a pistol. While the article does show her byline as the author, the words that supposedly go with the story below his picture are just random phrases strung together. Although this can be seen easily today with the stop-motion capabilities of a VCR or DVD player, it is even evident in the brief shot that could have been seen by 1970s television viewers.
Rockford arrives at the marina. He starts walking towards the phone booth and Susan Alexander (Joan Van Ark) arrives and he turns and goes to her car. The boom mic is reflected off the top of Rockford's car. Then a crew member is seen on the rear fender.
When Becker was interviewing Rockford at the Atwater house he described the killer's car as a blue Chevy. The car was actually a 1974 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight.
