In Parker, AZ they show Rockford at a Dept of Motor Vehicles Office (DMV). AZ has always called these the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD)
The brakes go out on Jim's car and he can't stop. After he crashes through a pile of dirt, you can see the rear tire lock, as the brakes stop the car just fine. However, just before the car crashes there is a quick shot showing Jim's left foot depress the far left pedal of the car. Since Jim is driving an automatic car this pedal would be the emergency brake and would cause the rear wheels to lock up.
Rockford says he was chased halfway across AZ by the Truck. But the delineators on the highway are California style, mostly white with a little orange band across the top. AZ has never used that style. Either the chase wasn't in CA, which would be an error of Rockford's location, or the delineators are wrong.
Rockford is told to come to the "old Blackfod Place" at "3972 Ambazac Road, In Bel Air." Actually, there's no Ambazac "Road" in Bel Air, but there is an "Ambazac Way."
Beth Davenport tells Jim that the book's copyright can be taken if not renewed by the author in a timely manner under 17 U.S.C. 24. Title 17 of federal law does govern copyrights but there is no chapter 24. The Title has only 13 chapters.
Beth Davenport tells Jim that a book's copyright can lapse if the author doesn't renew it on time under 17 U.S.C. §24. The reference is to section 24 of old Title 17 of the United States Code, which governed copyrights under the Act of 1909, until the Act of 1976 replaced it. Beth (and her writers) refer to it correctly.
