- TriviaIncludes numerous scenes taken directly from Pathe newsreel footage of the 1967 Lord Mayor's show.
- GoofsWhen Anne Kirby escapes from Elliott Stratton having found the sailor uniform and telescope in his study, she stands on a corner to hail taxi. In the medium closeup there is a high brick wall behind her, on the long shot, the brick wall is only knee height, meaning that the scenes were filmed at different locations.

The scales of justice
Four members of the board die one by one and Templar gets reeled into finding the murderer, and the mystery, at first, is hard to unravel, but after a few murders, a daring escape from death, he realises who the killer is.
A brilliant episode, a very enticing idea that keeps you watching. I know Leslie Charteris chose this particular episode to highlight his dissatisfaction of the colour series, but I found this episode very enjoyable with a sinister undercurrent- the ending is quite tense with a good fight sequence.
