- TriviaWhile happy with the progress and reception of the first season, series producer Gerard Glaister still felt that the series wasn't living up to its full potential. He realized that the main problem was the main setting - the Café Candide, which was set in a small side street where it rarely had any Nazi visitors (the main German cast had only ever appeared in the Candide setting once in the first season). By upgrading the cafe to a restaurant in the main area of Brussels, it made more sense that the Germans would visit more frequently, upping the dramatic stakes.
- GoofsThe Germans tell Markham that he will be interrogated. This would make sense if he had been arrested with other men at a location which was a known meeting place for the resistance, but he and the other 19 hostages were all selected at random from a tram and many of the hostages were women and old people. Interrogating all these people would make no sense as they would be unlikely to know anything of use to the Germans.

Music
Watching this straight after final episode of series 1 the sudden over the top dramatic music to tell us how we feel throughout the episode felt completely out of kilter with the feel of the 1st series and I don't recall hearing this in any other British show 10 for the story 2 for the forefront music.
