Dude, Where's my Ranch is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and plenty of very funny scenes. It's a very funny episode that starts off great, as we see Springfield raving over Homers new hit song about Ned Flanders, I liked these scenes more than the main story, David Byrne delivered a great cameo and the joke concerning him and Moe had me laughing the most, particularly when we hear Moe singing at the end of the episode. I think the main story was pretty weak, Lisa falling for a boy is never a terrific or memorable moment in the series, the writers of the show are generally male and, in all honesty, I don't think they know how to write about a young girl falling in love, we can tell in the scenes between Lisa and Luke that they are not use to this. The side story was also very fun, I liked seeing Homer and Bart battling against a group of beavers, the addition of a once off character named Cookie was hilarious, and a brief cameo done by Lord of the Rings Andy Serkis was terrific. It's one of the weaker moments of the fourteenth season, but Dude, Where's my Ranch is still a very enjoyable Simpsons episode.
After Homer's new song starts spreading across Springfield, the family head out to a ranch for a few weeks to escape it.
