Chester, having learned that the now deceased Peter was Jessica's lover, shares his jealous, hurt feelings with his wife, and actually apologizes for making her feel the same kind of pain that he's now going through. On an airplane in flight,Eunice conducts a professional interview with Congressman Walter McCallum(Edward Winter),accompanied by his wife Marilyn(Judith-Marie Bergan),who has a serious drinking problem.During a few private moments in the public bathroom,Eunice tells Walter that she was with him in bed on the night that Peter was murdered, before the Congressman's wife interrupts.Marilyn is convinced that Eunice is a pushy little girl reporter who must really be hard up because she follows him around night and day("it's hard to miss her,the girl's in heat!")The Tate household suspects the Campbell household, and vice versa.Burt tries to strangle the overbearing Bob,much to Chuck's chagrin.Chief of Police Tinkler pays another call on the Tates, and we are introduced to one of SOAP's greatest running gags: when the doorbell rings,Benson looks over to Jessica and asks,"you want me to get that?" to which she nods or states her approval; only then does Benson move into action.Tinkler happily joins them for dinner before finally making an arrest: Corinne.
