- Upon finding Merlin's testing grounds, Dr. Jackson, Teal'c, Col. Mitchell, and Vala uncover the hidden treasure including a book that tells the story of the Ancients coming to Earth from another galaxy and a strange alien device.
- Col. Mitchell and Vala solve riddles put before them by Merlin, then Col. Mitchell manages to pull a sword from a stone and must fight a holographic knight in shining armor, and with that - once they make amends for Vala's light fingers - the treasure appears. Daniel finds new information about the Ancients who have also been known as Alterans - Ancients who may not have ascended. Using the Ancients' communications stones, Daniel and Vala find their consciousnesses transported across the universe where they occupy the bodies of a man and woman living in a medieval society. The locals worship the Ori, a religious cult that now learns of human existence.—garykmcd
- Daniel, Vala, Mitchell and Teal'c survive Merlin's tests and find the treasure. Daniel finds a book and an alien device and believes the Ancients come from another galaxy. Further, he also believes that the device is a communication device and decides to use it with Vala. However, they have a surprise.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Under time pressure as the stone rooms contract, Daniel manages alone to solve the icons' riddle despite Vala, who steals a jewel, then cues Mitchell who does the same, and thus has opportunity to pull Arthur's sword. However, it also triggers a holographic duel adversary with a painful punch, which Mitchell's college fencing skills still overcome. This wins access to a treasure full of jewelry, a strange alien device, and a book, which allows Daniel to conclude it's the legacy of the alien Alteran race, who appear to be the ancestors, or an early form of the Ancients, referring to their planet of origin. After studying the device, presumed a star-gate-like portal, Daniel and Vala decide to try it, and are mentally transported, while remaining unconscious on earth. They 'possess' the bodies of Harrid and Sallis, a married couple of locals in contact with the resistance to the theocratic terror of the cult of the all-knowing Ori, and come clean when approached by a fellow resistance member, but irreverent Vala's big mouth proves punishable by fire. Meanwhile, Teal'c neglects Rak'nor's warnings that a Tau'ri-hostile rival is about to be elected the new Jaffa leader.—KGF Vissers
