The device Martouf uses to calibrate the memory stimulation device is, in reality, an electric nose hair trimmer.
Originally intended to be one episode, #3.12 "Jolinar's Memories" was so expensive that the production staff decided the only way to pay for it would be to split it up over two episodes by developing a second part. The second episode, The Devil You Know (1999), was written. Up to that point, it was almost as expensive for the two-parter as it was for the pilot, Children of the Gods (1997).
William deVry receives main guest credit in this episode, although his character Aldwin doesn't appear for the first time until the next episode.
There appears to be a highway of high-tech vehicles speeding along a two-way highway that are shown at a distance on the planet Delmar. However, these vehicles are never given any detail in the series. Even the immediate following scene of a 'god' regresses to a candlelit stone room with nothing to reflect this supposed level of technology.
