Play It Blue
Al Deus is a gangster involved in jukeboxes and bootlegged records.
You bought his jukeboxes for your bar or cafe. You paid for his records which were copies.
Now Deus has gone into the music business. He plans to make Barry Steele a teenage heart throb. Number one on the hit parade.
Steele learns at first hand just how controlling Deus can be.
Maybe Paul Marino can get the goods on Deus.
Dean Jones gets to sing a song or two as Steele. An episode rather on the nose. Pop stars were and are still exploited mercilessly by managers and record companies.
It was interesting to see there was so much money to be made on jukeboxes and copies of licorice pizzas.
