Montel Williams was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis four months after filming this episode. Thankfully, he manages to overcome it whenever snow skis in Park City, Utah during winter months.
It is the only known episode where Andrew delivers a person's soul directly to Hell.
First aired on Easter Sunday.
The scene where the Golden Path Institute followers almost fatally drink poisoned grape juice is based on Guyana's tragic mass murder suicide conducted by Jim Jones on November 18, 1978. The poisoned beverage in that historic incident was Flavor Aid.
In real life, Montel Williams grew up being a Roman Catholic believer. He served as the church's altar boy until having an altercation with a priest at age eleven. Montel departed from that Christian faith afterwards. He is now agnostic.
