In 1999 Lucasfilm announced this story to be the first half of The Perils of Cupid (1995), the second half being Florence, May 1908 (1993). This chapter was finally released in October 2007 on The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones Volume I, disc 4.
The psychiatrist old Indy visits has the name 'Carol Schultz MD' on the door to her office, an homage to Carl Schultz who directed most of the Old Indy segments.
The gold and yellow painting Indy observes hanging near the palace is "the Kiss" by Gustav Klimt.
