The wife of Dick Powell, June Allyson, stars in this story about a woman with a poor reputation returning to her hometown. It seems that Stella, Allyson's character, left town with a gunslinger and had to find work as a saloon girl. This information gets back to her hometown where the locals make their own opinion of her life. Now, along with her son, she returns to the old home place where her father still lives. And as you can guess the reunion is cold.
Stella is trying to show her father, plus the entire town, that she has changed her life. But due to her history it will not be as easy task as most of the people remember her loose fame. She will have to go through some hardships if she is going to change the opinion of others.
It was a nice story but it just seemed that Ms Allyson may not have been the best pick for the loose woman. She does a nice job, but for some reason, she seemed too nice for the viewer to believe she had a compromising past. Paul Fix did a great job of bring this episode together which made for an interesting show. Perhaps not the most entertaining show of the bunch but one that leaves you satisfied in the end. Nice watch.
