"Don't cheer me up Bernice, it depresses me!"

"Power Play" finds the hungry juveniles attempting to please Fish by cleaning up after themselves (actually, they're more interested in their allowances). Fish is searching for a missing file on a two year old case requiring him to appear in court. He retraces his steps at the precinct, but all he remembers is how everyone remarked that he looked tired. Charlie believes that people are always subconsciously putting things where we don't want to find them (in Fish's case, usually his house keys). Victor never cleans up his own messes, and starts flashing cash around in a 'power play' for attention. Fish soon discovers he's making big bucks as a delivery boy for a betting racket, but the kid refuses to 'rat' on anybody. Charlie finds Loomis getting a dollar from Victor by mopping the kitchen floor- Charlie: "your people have been exploited for centuries!" Loomis: "and now we're getting' even, this job's only worth fifty cents!"
