Orko the Great: A complete redefinition of the character. Warning: Spoilers
We have all seen the episodes where Orko plays the part of the funny and goofy character whose magic never seems to work really as it should. Nevertheless, this episode completely changes the character's canon. Even when it is sadly maybe inconsistent with the personality shown by the character in other episodes, this story offers a different explanation to Orko's unfortunate magic.

This episode's main revelation is that Orko's magic fails so often because his powers don't quite function in Eternia, nevertheless, in his home planet, Trolla, he is remembered as "Orko, the Great" a famous and powerful sorcerer .

Being summoned to help in his own world and with the aid of his friend He-Man, Orko managed to heroically save his people from an evil dragon. "You should have seen him" says He-Man to Man-at-Arms and Sorceress when they come back and when He-Man asks Orko why he didn't stay in his home world, Orko answers:-- As long as Skeletor afflicts Eternia, I'm gonna help you defend it! --. And believe or not, this episode concludes with Man-At-Arms saying To Orko: -------"You are one fine magician and don't let anyone tell you otherwise...not even me"-------

As I said, this episode is maybe inconsistent with the fact that, along the other episodes, Orko never gave us the impression of having been a person in control of himself and his powers, famous and competent. Nevertheless it gave a whole new level to the character from a funny jester whose magic sometimes helps (and sometimes not), to the level of a person that decides to be where he considers the best.

Thanks for reading.
