Not quite as spectacular as the first episode.

I like the idea of R&S venturing Into a story book. However, the running gag of Stimpy changing costumes grows tired after awhile. I feel they could have done funnier things with the Robin Hood story. The nose hair moment is a Gross highlight.

The nurse short is a pretty simple premise. It is above average though due to the disgusting body horror in the episode. It shows how this cartoon uses grossness to draw in the viewer, like a car crash you can't look away from. Also, Stimpy gets his opportunity to abuse Ren for once. The sponge bath story is funny.

This episode contains both the best and some of the most mediocre of the series. "Robin Hoëk", being the latter. We find Stimpy reading a story (to himself, so commanded by Ren), which happens to be a take on Robin Hood. Ren becomes the Robin, and Stimpy every other character in the story.

The non-sensical alterations to the story are hit-and-miss (Ren firing a watermelon through his bow isn't that clever, but the swarming man-eating Monks living in the castle moat is absurd enough to be hilarious). After a Rapunzel-style interlude, they face-off with the Sheriff, (a Wild-West type who really puts up a pathetic fight, really). This half of the episode is the weaker half.

"Nurse Stimpy" is an absolute genius piece of animation. We find Stimpy taking care of Ren (who suffers from a mysterious but (serious!?) disease).

Stimpy's idea of care is hilarious, and the satirical play on regular medical procedures is great, as are Stimpy's various cut-scenes over the months. This episode represents "Ren & Stimpy" at it's best.
