A teenage boy is accused of shooting his mother, has he done it, or is he covering for someone.
This is an absolutely brutal story, it's so nasty, it starts off with a very nasty death, and it continues from there, there is no lighter side, no humour, it doesn't actually feel like The Bill, it feels like something altogether very different, a cracking story though.
Trevor Reid really is a hard man, one of the toughest villains I've seen on the show for some time. I remember the actor, Keith Bartlett well from an episode of Silent Witness, he can certainly play the part of a stony faced villain well.
Good story for both Deakin and Meadows, their dynamic is very different to that of Meadows and Johnson.
Very good, 8/10.
