  Robin Hood : No, they will not be- they *cannot* be!... Because we should be together! I should never have left you. I should never have gone to war- it was a mistake! You were right. We wanted glory. But believe me, the battlefield is the *last* place you will find it.

  Marian : You'd always regret it if you haven't gone.

  Robin Hood : But not as much as I regret going. Not as much as I regret losing you. Marian, I should not have gone.

  Marian : [fighting tears]  Robin...

  Djaq : [running back in with the herbs]  I love you, you love me, we all love each other. Drink the wine.

• Much : [as he fixes breakfast]  You think Marian'll want anything to eat?

  [to Djaq] 

  Much : What is it girls eat?

  Djaq : [Fiddling with some herbs in a bowl]  Special girl's food.

• Djaq : [to Much]  Pray to your God... and to mine. She is going to die.

• Djaq : [Looking at Marian's infected wound]  My father treated the wounded in the battlefield. He said, "Never lie to a wounded man."

  Marian : Or was it "Never lie to a dying man?"

  Djaq : [pause]  He said that too.

• Much : [as he is applying pressure to Marian's wound, as well as holding his finger in the wound]  I'm not doing anything; I'm just pressing, right?

  Djaq : Yes. There's not much else we can do. The other physician has the instruments.

  Much : [pause]  Should I be able to feel a heartbeat?

  Djaq : Yes.

  [Much looks at her, distraught] 

  Djaq : [Djaq rushes to Marian, checks her then pounds her chest with her fist] 

  Much : [Stopping her]  What are you doing, what are you doing? You'll hurt her!

  Djaq : Trust me, Much! Where she is, she cannot feel a thing!

  Much : [Djaq begins repeatedly pounding Marian's chest]  Come on, come on, Marian.

  Much : [Feeling Marian's pulse in the wound]  YES! YES!

  Djaq : ALLAH BE PRAISED!

  Much : [Throwing his arms in the air]  ALLAH BE PRAISED!

  Little John : [Raising his arms likewise]  ALLAH BE PRAISED!

  Much : Well, how did you do that?

  Djaq : Put your finger back in! Now!

  [Much puts his finger back in the wound] 

• Djaq : I will cut you open. If I can find the damage, I will sew it up.

  Marian : And what are my chances?

  Djaq : If I do not do this- none. If I do- very little.

• Much : Bats. I hate bats. Bats are rats. Rats with wings.

  Djaq : No, they're intelligent. Bats make noises you cannot hear.

  Allan A Dale : What's the point of that? Noises you can't hear?

  Much : What if there was a noise nobody could hear? And then if you were the only person in the world who could hear it. Because I am that person. To see sense where others see nonsense. Just like the bat. I take it back. I like the bat! The bat is my friend. The bat understands me.
