- There is no nudity or on screen depiction of sexual conduct, but the plot revolves around a nun who suspects a priest of molesting a young boy. Non-graphic discussion of child molestation occurs throughout most of the film.
Violence & Gore

- One boy gets a nosebleed. Sister Aloysius smacks the back of another boy's head. The troubled boy's mother says his father abuses him and that the boy would've been killed in the public schools and that his father would kill him for suspected homosexuality.
Profanity
-
- 2 uses of hell 1 use of damned and bullshit
- One use of "bullshit" by a boy. No other profanity; the words "damned" and "hell" are used in a religious context. One use of "negro."
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- A quick scene where men are drinking and smoking
- Some drinking at a priests' dinnertable that results in some controlled rowdiness.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The movie gets pretty intense with the accusations of molestation. Mature topics are involved. The film could pass for a thriller.
Spoilers
