The Hospital is trying to save money, the heating is switched off, and poor Lillie, a cleaner of twelve years is given the boot, but she has an unlikely ally.
A fine start to series two, we learn more about Sheila each episode, definitely one to fight an injustice, she really is a tyrant with a heart. There is of course some good humour, but the performances are just so good, there aren't enough plaudits for McAuliffe.
It has seemed in recent episodes that more and more screen time is given to Sabatini, with less emphasis on Haslam, initially it seemed like the two were leads, but she has started to dominate episodes, as much as I adore Nichola, I like Preston equally, I hope it swings back to that equal partnership we initially had.
