Infra dignitatem - Mrs Kettle please meet Mr Pot

We reacquaint ourselves with Jack (Suranne Jones) making domestic and financial arrangements for her imminent pseudo-marriage to Ann (Sophie Rundle). With the all-consuming passion of a burgeoning relationship, Jack launches into planning in her usual bull-in-a-china-shop man-style without regard to the relationship. Others warn her of potential difficulties and incompatibilities, both those who have her best interests at heart and some who do not.

New challenges are surfacing: How can she manage her finances and the perennial coal/water rights? Is the pig-sty murder resurfacing? What will Mariana do?

Anne realizes her dreams and ambitions

Anne now has realized her lifelong desire to have a wife to be by her side and makes plans for the move to Shibden Hall. She goes head to head with Ann's tribe of relatives, makes improvements at Shibden to insure it's comfy for Ann and shows that she is the master of all in her domain. A wonderful start to Season 2 - Sally Wainwright, Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle continue their genius in bringing these characters into our lives.

I feel like this season opens up more about Anne's actual behavior like being short-tempered, and sometimes she can be too harsh to her servant.

Also, I'm glad they put a new character like Isabella (Tib) in this season. Because knowing Anne, Mariana is not the only lover she had been with according to her journal, and can't wait to see more of Mariana going mental over Anne & Ann's marriage.

ROMANTIC TRAVELS SUIT THE ODD PAIRING AND GIVE THEM A SENSE OF ADVENTURE AND A NOTION THAT THEY COULD CONQUER THE WORLD TOGETHER BY EACH OTHER'S SIDE.

LISA STANFIELD HAD A SONG SHE PERFORMED WITH BARRY WHITE. AT THE TIME, EVEN IN 1989, SUCH PAIRINGS IN PUBLIC WOULD CAUSE QUITE A STIR AND SCANDAL OF INAPPROPRIATENESS. YET, THEY PERFORMED EXQUISITELY TOGETHER IN SPITE OF THE TABOO. DON'T YOU AGREE? IT WAS QUITE WHAT SHE NEEDED TO REMEDY HER FEAR AND ANXIETY.
