Man this show is good! At the end when the guys were camping and talking about their nightmares I had chills and a lump in my throat the entire time. Everything about it is spectacular so excited it's back

Solid Start!

This show is top notch. While the acting is terrific and writing is strong, it's really the locations that make the show. Beautiful!

Good start!

This was a good start to what will be another good season. It's fine that things started off with a build up. Every episode cannot be all out mayhem.

Great first episode of the season!

Honestly, this show is so good & everyone in the cast is amazing. Not to mention the scenery really just adds the cherry on top. I'm looking forward to seeing where the rest of the season takes us! And i love when Tate and John bond, it's so sweet!

Am glad we can watch a sunday evening adult soap opera , full of talented people , old and young making the outdoors look beautiful. The Dutton's , the wrangler's and Cole will make for another fine and shocking season .

Well written, well done. Best show on TV. If you haven't watched from first season, don't start w 3rd. Watch seasons in order. Won't make sense

The addition of Josh Holloway is a stoke of brilliance. Great show. Great cast, somewhat decent writing, which can sometimes be hollow and weak. But overall good.

disappointing start
jjsoltis23 June 2020
The first two seasons were top notch. This first episode of the 3rd season is a huge disappointment. NOTHING of any consequesnce happened. If this was the first episode of the first season, I wouldn't be continuing to watch. There was nothing here that makes you want to continue watching.

A prediction
boborene-340-52952419 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
2 years later I understand what episode forth seen. Great vision on script.

I love it how they see the future hungry, the blindness of young generation and despair that is grow in traditional families regarding the future of next generation.

I love it this future prediction:

Lloyd Pierce: Makes you wonder... who's gonna feed this world when there's none of us left?

John Dutton: Nobody, Lloyd. The world's just gonna go hungry.

Beside anything else, "you are the Indian now" concentrate perfect the message of this series, and reveal the fight for survival that is not understand by young generation people with phones which replace their little eyes and poor minds.

Nothing is happening, everything is happening.

This is Kevin Costner's vanity project. Thus, now over two seasons and change: every character is on a journey to become just like John Dutton. They are land grabbing empty souls. There is a new big bad for the season. Dutton's piece of Montana is under threat from development. It's clear the show is just going to stay on one loop. Nice to see josh Holloway.

The cursing has gone down some, quality gone up
grlym-4684910 July 2020
They seem to have made the daughters character less repulsive. The non stop F words and slutty attitude that detracted before seems to have subsided

New actors have added considerable quality as well

Update since watching while season
  • this season was great. Getting through season 1 and 2 was worth getting to a season that found a balance. Hope they keep with this recipe

This season is not good as season2
lmx-8932225 August 2020
The first few episodes, plot's not moving forward, just like a Scenic Videos. And the last few episodes too fast and halfway through, I feel not real, go off the rails. I guess S3's director is not as good as S1S2. Hope S4 better.

You're the Indian Now
lassegalsgaard31 May 2024
And so we're back with another round of "Yellowstone," and it almost feels like it didn't go anywhere. For me, that's mostly because I'm watching it after the fact and was able to go directly from the finale to this episode, but it's also because everything feels like it always has on the Yellowstone Ranch. That's not entirely meant in a positive way, but like the first two seasons I will give this the benefit of the doubt, and watch the whole thing before I judge. However, this premiere felt like more of the same-old, same-old and not all of it is still that interesting.

This season is heading off with a lot of goodwill from my side after the finale of the previous season, and I'm going to wait on judging the season for its story until I see it, but there is something incredibly familiar and repetitious about this opener. I would not be able to tell this apart from the previous season and while it is slowly moving off of some of the previous finale's plot points, there's a long way to go before it makes for a relevant and engaging story. This episode features a lot of reintroductions to characters that we know, and some new introductions as well, although those are very few and the new characters are barely featured in this episode. The aftermath of Tate's kidnapping has left him with a good amount of PTSD, and while the idea of a child's reaction to this is very interesting, the execution of it is a bit messy, mostly due to the unconvincing performance of the young actor, who has been quite good up until this point, but is struggling with the more difficult scenes. Monica's storyline is also starting off a bit strange, but that's probably going to move her into a more active position than she's been in this far. The political subplot continues to be the show's most interesting, but the show isn't really doing a lot to get the main feud going yet, and that just leaves this episode with a feeling of "what's next?" and can't we get to that?

"You're the Indian Now" reintroduces all of the characters again, but it doesn't do a lot to set up this season's overarching storyline at all. There are a few new entries, but it's so scarce and it doesn't really feel like there's any clear direction for the season yet, which is a little worrying.
