Episode 102

Warning: Spoilers
We know this show is not going to last very long on CBS, but I think we can enjoy it while it does.

Obviously, the political nature of this episode will make some viewers happy while upsetting others, but I couldn't care less as long as it is entertaining. It was a solid episode that showed why this show can be powerful as it presents all levels of justice from the judge to the prosecutor.

It still has a lot of work to do, but I hope CBS gives it a chance.

Excellent Episode

Good to see a little light shining on the massive problem that is going on in that country and the dirty plays that are made to try to get around the law, like staking out courthouses by institutions like ICE. Hopefully things will change for the better there, and this episode showed that if people with power make a stand, there can still be some hope.

Not a good episode

Warning: Spoilers
Superior court judge Lola Carmichael is off to an interesting start. There's an undocumented illegal immigrant named Leo Guerra (Roland Ruiz) who's in her courtroom and he flees abruptly, because there is an overzealous Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent named Sal Soto (Yancey Arias) who's about to haul him away; you see, Leo had been checking out the past expiration dates on the food items and writing the dates down on the packaging and got arrested as a result. And how did the ICE agent happen to be in the courtroom at that exact same time as Leo Guerra's arraignment? Well, that's because the grocer named Dwight Harris had snitched out Leo to ICE. And Lola's trying to keep him from being extradited to his homeland of Nicaragua, which has re-elected that lowlife Manuel Ortega as their president, never mind that he is a Marxist through and through. All right, that's the plot. So now ICE is the bad guy, is that it? Huh? Remember my previous comment about this show being made by liberals for liberals? At one point, Lola Carmichael boasts that California is a sanctuary state! Yeah, try telling that to Kate Steinle's family. And did you know that the show's creator Greg Spottiswood is from Canada? Any more of this politically correct garbage and ALL RISE will have one less viewer--me. That's all

Addresses a current hot topic, and better than most shows
MiketheWhistle1 October 2019
With the title I wasn't sure I cared to watch the show if it was going to just become a political show. It presented the topic better than most. It didn't seem preachy, presented the topic, and made people think. I have to say that the issue is tough, and there needs to be compassion and Congress needs to fix this issue and stop passing it around to be a political widget.

Judicial Activism
vhclark-16 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Totally upset with this episode, portraying a judge going out of her way to circumvent Federal Law to prevent the apprehension of a known illegal alien by an ICE agent.

Many more like this, and I'll take it off my viewing list.

She's supposed to be a judge
dshell10219 October 2019
She's acting as the attorney, not the judge, and did so in the 1st episode.

She's not trying to get justice, she's trying to skirt the laws she doesn't like. This is what a corrupt judge looks like as they don't judge, they are activists instead putting personal biases over the law. Justice isn't blind here...this is what it looks like when a judge knows someone is guilty and decides the criminals are more important than the victims. (See the first episode for that one. She knew who robbed the family and didn't report it as an officer of the court.)

She says this is about justice, yet puts herself and others above the law. Truly a disgraceful show that reminds me what corruption is and why justice is blind.
