A beautiful story about friendship, honesty and courage
sharrontorres25 January 2008
This is an honest and compassionately told story of a young woman who, having suffered a terrible tragedy struggles to put the pieces of her life back together. It is directed with deep compassion and empathy for Josie(the main character) who suffers daily with feelings of great sorrow, remorse and deep shame which makes her reluctant to trust people after a tragic incident in her past. Along the way she makes friends with people who truly care for her and try to encourage her to move forward. It is only after one of the friends (Max) is able to reveal the heartbreaking truth and regrets that he lives with that she is able to realize that she is not the only one who has sorrows of the past to deal with and that friends are put into your life to support you. It is only by really caring and supporting each other that people are able to help each other to move forward in life. This honest support enables Josie and Max to make the positive changes that they need to make in their lives and helps guide another friend (Mani) to make one of the most important decisions of her young life. The film was shot entirely in Windsor Ontario...a beautiful international city that offers stunning views of both Windsor Ontario and Detroit Michigan. It is hard to believe that this beautiful and touching film was directed by someone so young....23 year old Dylan Pearce. Way to go Dylan and crew....Expect more great movies from him!!!!
