Ellie gets a bolt out of the blue, when Neil's father Roy, returns for a brief visit from Australia, Peter and Harry both take a protective stance towards their beloved Ellie.
The whole episode is about Ellie, she is very much at the heart of it, we learn a lot about her, her past, her hopes, and why she's so close to her son. That's partly the problem, I think Vickerage was still settling in to the role of Ellie, it was bold to put her centre stage in her second outing, bit I think this should have come a little later on, I didn't find her convincing.
I'm a fan of Aden Gillett, and his round English voice, what I was less of a fan of, his slightly off Australian accent.
The only episode so far, to feel a little forced, it simply didn't flow. Compared to other sitcoms it's still good, but in comparison to previous episodes, it's off the pace.
6/10.
