The man Lucifer points to in Lux is Froy (Darion Basco), the restaurant security guard from Spoiler Alert (2020), whose true desire in life is to be a professional dancer. Lucifer promised to hire him to dance at Lux in exchange for access to surveillance tapes.
Lucifer's specific promise to Froy if he helped was, "I'll hire you and make your Footloose dreams come true." The song Lucifer is playing and Froy is dancing to is a rocking piano version of "Footloose", the theme song of Footloose (1984).
Lucifer has no scenes in Lux during the first half of season 5. This is his first appearance there in nine episodes, an unusually long on-Earth absentee streak for him.
"In loving memory of of Craig Charles Henderson (1947 - 2019) and Arthur Melbourne Hooper (1920 - 2020)" appears in the end credits. Craig Charles Hendersonis thought to be a relation of co-showrunner Joe Henderson, who follows someone of that name on Twitter. The account has been inactive since 2018 but it was a vocal supporter of the Save Lucifer campaign, sending out messages such as: "Never giving up save Lucifer."
Arthur Melbourne Hooper is the late grandfather of actor Tom Ellis.
John Glover (Peter Peterson) himself played "The Devil" during the run of the short-lived TV series Brimstone (1998).
