- TriviaIn the flashback of his first day with Lois at the Daily Planet, the Nazi symbol that Clark mistakes for lightning bolts, which are actually stylized S's, is the rune used by the Schutzstaffel, the Nazis' security agency. The symbol also appeared, in place of the House of El glyph, on the suit of Overgirl, the parallel-Earth counterpart of his cousin Kara, in the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover.
- Quotes
Martha Kent: After you left, I had a dream of you flying, only it wasn't the boy that I knew. It was you now, so I made this.
Clark Kent: Mom... leaving you after Dad died...
Martha Kent: Oh, honey, it's what you needed to do then, and this is what you need to do now. It's time for you to save the world, Clark.
[he unfurls the super-suit]
Martha Kent: Still needs something on the chest, I think.

The plot slows down as some much appreciated flashbacks take place, superb writing and acting - An unforgettable Superman episode
This week's episode is directed by the actor turned director, Gregory Smith. He have directed multiple of Arrowverse shows and it shows that he's familiar with it, the direction and visual storytelling is top notch. I'll say the same to the writing.
Superman and Lois continues to deliver superb episode after episode. A Brief Reminiscence In-Between Cataclysmi... continues where last week's episode left off, with Superman weak at the Fortress of Solitude and Morgan Edge in his own fortress. But then unexpectedly, most of the episode is told in flashbacks of Clark's first two years in Metropolis up to his marriage with Lois. It's an incredible episode that stays true to the comic book, and I have to say the second half which were in the present, was suspenseful and truly fantastic. This episode impressed me a lot and it was mostly because of how unexpected it was. 40 minutes of pure superb television.
The performances of Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch were some of the highlights of the episode and of the entire TV Series, with some strong acting and seeing them interact with each other in the first two years was nice to see after the previous episode, it was beautifully told and filled with hope. In Supergirl and it's various of crossovers, I haven't really thought that these two actors would do these characters justice but when this show came out my mind was changed and now with this episode, it's totally changed. These portrayals of Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane, will be remembered.
On the technical side, the episode looked stunning and cinematography was great. Even the visual effects was amazing and it was mostly in the way it was shot, the director knew exactly what he was doing.
