Venom : Oh, you don't need to wear a mask with us, Pete! We know all your secrets, because of course, we were you.

Spider-Man : The symbiote..but I destroyed-

Venom : Did you really think a little refrigeration would do us in?

Spider-Man : You ensnared another human being?!

Venom : Someone better suited to our gifts and to our mission: Destroying you for rejecting us! From now on we're poison to Peter Parker and Spider-Man. We're VENOM!
Venom : It appears you have a job opening. We'll take it.

Tombstone : I really should start locking those windows.
Venom : Oh, you don't mind if we have a little fun with him first?

Tombstone : I don't micromanage.
Venom : [after Spider-Man tricks him into shredding the parade balloon] A slow descent. Clever. But you won't save her that way.

[punches him away. The strand holding Gwen finally breaks, causing her to fall]

Spider-Man : [swings forward and catches her] I gotcha.

[Gwen bats her eyes at him, but Venom swings forward and punches Spider-Man, knocking Gwen out of his grasp. She falls toward the ground, but the Midtown football team uses the deflated balloon to catch her]

Mary Jane Watson : [runs up to her and removes her gag] Gwen, are you okay?

Gwen Stacy : Yeah. I'm alright, I think.
