For only being in the industry for two years Arjun Kapoor certainly has proved he is meant to be an actor. From his first film the gritty Ishaqzaade to his fabulous performances in films like Gunday and 2 States, the young actor has received praise from audiences and critics alike and fans can’t wait to see what he will do next. For his next film, he takes on something a bit different and well, quirky. Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny is an English language film that explores five oddball characters on a road trip in Goa. They are in search of an old postman’s childhood love, Stefanie “Fanny” Fernandes, though nobody knows whether she’s alive or dead or just a figment of someone’s imagination. However, the friends get lost, and the journey – originally intended to take 20 minutes – instead takes one and a half days. If you’re looking for love…...

The always entertaining and charming Jeff Goldlblum showed off some of his musical talent on last night's Late Night with Seth Meyers. The actor who is probably best known for his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park decided that after all these years, the main score from the film could use some lyrics; the results are magical. "In Jurassic Park — scary in the dark — I'm so scared that I'll be eaten." "Yeah, but, John, if The Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." Stay cool Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Here’s a first look at Dianna Agron (‘Glee’) in writer/director Mark Polish’s Headlock starring Oscar Nominee Andy Garcia, Justin Bartha (The Hangover Trilogy) and Mark Polish (For Lovers Only).
After new CIA recruit, Kelley Chandler (Polish) is seriously injured during a mission, surviving only on life support, his wife Tess (Agron), a former CIA operative, becomes determined to find out what happened to her husband. As the details of Kelley’s last mission unravel, showing that his accident was an inside job, Tess puts everything on the line to keep Kelley out of harm’s way, even if that comes with dangerous consequences.
The film is produced by Michael Benaroya (Margin Call, Kill Your Darlings) for Benaroya Pictures and Janet Du Bois (Stay Cool), with Tim Christian, Ryan Johnson and Ben Sachs executive producing.

Outside of the success of the musical comedy series "Glee," Dianna Agron hasn't really had much success on the big screen. The Family and I Am Number Four were both misfires and weren't loved by audiences or critics. So now she's doing something completely different than her previous big screen or small screen efforts with Headlock, an action thriller that marks the directorial debut of The Astronaut Farmer scribe Mark Polish. And now we have a first look photo that features Agron with her hair blown back, a sly smile on her face and a gun in her hand. Could this turn the actress into another female action star? Look below! Here's the first photo from Mark Polish's Headlock from International Film Trust: Headlock is written and directed by Mark Polish (writer of The Astronaut Farmer, Twin Falls Idaho, Stay Cool). After Fiona finally admitted to herself and the court that she was guilty of putting Liam's life in danger, after a stern talking to by Lip, her family slowly started coming back together on "Shameless," at least for a moment.
Ian made his first appearance in the Gallagher house all season, though it was the new him, who isn't exactly drug free. Still, coming home is a good first step toward getting the old Ian back.
Though he was home and, for the first time in a while, the house was full of Gallagher children, Fiona being stuck on house arrest isn't a good thing -- especially since the kids are growing up and constantly on the go. When she finds herself alone, she desperately calls Vee, asking for booze. Her timing couldn't be worse, as she gets plastered and burns a bunch of food just as Lip comes home with Liam.

Getting in a little father-daughter bonding, Amanda Bynes showed up at Albertson’s supermarket with her dad Rick on Sunday afternoon (March 2).
As she emerged from the grocery store, the “She’s the Man” actress, sporting a grey Stay Cool sweatshirt and sunglasses, was a bit bewildered at the sight of shutterbugs.
Meanwhile, Amanda is back on Twitter and thankfully this time she’s not begging Drake to “murder my vagina.”
Bynes broke her silence with a tweet that read, "Hi everyone! I'm busy studying at @Fidm but I want to say I love you to my fans! Xoxo Amanda."...

Summer doesn’t have to always be about showing tons of skin. The right outfit can be summery, chic and totally comfy, too — and Selena displays that perfectly! Stay cool and stylish this summer with printed pants. Shop if you want to try the trend.
Selena Gomez, 20, always looks stylish and chic. On her way to lunch with a friend in Encino on June 10, she kept it super low-key, but even in this laid-back get-up she’s inspiring us to run out and go shopping. Her comfy printed pants are definitely a trend you should try — and you can do so right here.

Here on the East Coast, the Smash Mouth cut “Walking on the Sun” has been our personal anthem for the past week. Yes, it is Hot. Summer in the city (or anywhere) can be pretty grueling, especially when sweaty shirtless guys get shoved up against us on a crowded subway. If you can’t stand the heat, it seems like the best method is to just stay in a dark, air-conditioned room and watch movies!
Perhaps the most perfect way to flip the bird to ol’ Mother Nature is to stay in a nice cool room and watch movies about the dog days of summer. Whether it’s to signify tension (like in Do the Right Thing, 12 Angry Men or In the Heat of the Night) or just a straight-up natural disaster (Dante’s Peak and Sunshine), a surprising amount of films take place in the midst of an epic heatwave.

A high school movie with a difference, Stay Cool offers both a contemporary and nostalgic glimpse into those formative years when a best-selling author Henry (Mark Polish) is invited back to his old school to deliver a speech at the upcoming senior graduation.
Now in his mid-thirties, his latest book is based around his own school experiences decades back where he attempted (unsuccessfully) to fit in with the popular crowd and win the affections of the girl of his dreams. Hooking up with best friends from that era, a gay hairdresser (Sean Ashton) and tattooist (Josh Holloway), he decides to sample life back in the classroom and encouraged by his old principal (Chevy Chase), attends some lessons. Reese Witherspoon and family looked like they had a blast at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, yesterday. It’s nice to see her with her husband, Jim Toth, and kids Ava and Deacon, all letting their hair down. Although her hair’s more up than down in the photograph on the left taken at Splash Mountain. Ava’s expression (she’s the second from the bottom) is pretty hilarious too — her eyes look like they’re about to pop out of her head. Looking at Reese taking a photo with a Mouse-ear-wearing Deacon makes us want to regress and go running to our moms too. More than anything, all of this just proves what we’ve always thought of Reese — that’s she a really committed, solid mom. Stay cool, Family Witherspoon-Toth.

Film Independent Fellow Jonathan Sheldon
In the spirit of Griffin Mill’s question in The Player – “Can we talk about something other than Hollywood for a change?” – this interview is one in an occasional series in which Film Independent talks with filmmakers about their non-filmic creative pursuits. Making an independent film can take years, of course, and many filmmakers have creative energies that have to come out in other avenues. Sometimes those other creative pursuits supplant filmmaking altogether; at other times, they exist alongside the pursuit of filmmaking.
I recently talked with Film Independent Fellow Jonathan Sheldon about his work as a musician and his band American Bloomers, as well as about his work as a producer. What is it with hometown reunions and high school sweethearts this week? Already, we've seen Hilary Duff try to hijack Mark Polish before he can rekindle the flames with his teen crush (Winona Ryder) in Stay Cool. We've seen artwork for Diablo Cody's Young Adult, which features a teen lit novelist (Charlize Theron) who tries to reclaim her happily-married high school honey (Patrick Wilson). And now, we get a clip of Channing Tatum zeroing in on his love interest of yester-decade (Rosario Dawson) in a snippet from the star-packed Ten Year.

Hilary Duff may have seen her planned screen turn as Bonnie Parker nixed due to pregnancy, but the erstwhile Lizzie Maguire will soon appear in the Polish brothers ensemble comedy Stay Cool. The 2009 Tribeca entry concerns a thirtysomething novelist (Mark Polish) who returns to his Sacramento hometown only to be confronted with the colorful ex-flames and friends still living there and the hot-to-trot high school senior (Duff) trying to jump his bones. Get a first look at Duff's would-be teen seductress (and her failed attempt at seduction) in Movieline's exclusive clip.

Trailers are an under-appreciated art form insofar that many times they’re seen as vehicles for showing footage, explaining films away, or showing their hand about what moviegoers can expect. Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: I celebrate all levels of trailers and hopefully this column will satisfactorily give you a baseline of what beta wave I’m operating on, because what better way to hone your skills as a thoughtful moviegoer than by deconstructing these little pieces of advertising? Some of the best authors will tell you that writing a short story is a lot harder than writing a long one, that you have to weigh every sentence. What better medium to see how this theory plays itself out beyond that than with movie trailers? Where Soldiers Come From Trailer Documentary filmmaker Heather Courtney looks to have made a movie that keeps the embers of war stoked in our collective consciousness.

Initiate Productions have released the first trailer and poster for their new comedy which has pooled together a rather impressive cast called Stay Cool. The film is directed by Michael Polish and as well as Polish, also stars Hilary Duff, Winona Ryder, Sean Astin, Josgh Holloway, and Ashley Bell with some cameos from Chevy Chase and Jon Cryer.
After 20 years, a successful author Henry McCarthy (Polish) returns to his home town to give a commencement speech, only to fall in love with his old crush Scarlet Smith (Ryder) but is asked to the prom by a sexy high school senior Shasta ONeil (Duff). [1] Back in 2009, the Polish Brothers, Mark and Michael, released two films on the festival circuit: The Smell of Success premiered at Sundance, while Stay Cool opened at Tribeca. Now, two years later, both films are finally getting released in theaters. The Smell of Success just got a very limited opening [2] this month, and Stay Cool will be hitting theaters September 16. A new trailer's just been released for the latter, and... well, I can see why no one was in a hurry to rush this out. Stay Cool follows a successful writer named Henry McCarthy (Mark Polish) who returns to his high school as a commencement speaker at the request of Principal Marshall (Chevy Chase). Once Henry arrives, Marshall encourages him to "connect" with the graduating class, which apparently means sitting in on classes and passing notes with students. (I don't know about you, but I have never had a commencement speaker that did this.

So this is the trailer for the mockumentary And They're Off... which is apparently supposed to be funny. Spoiler Alert: It's not. At all! The film stars Sean Astin, Cheri Oteri, Mark Moses (Duck from Mad Men), Kevin Nealon, and a bunch of awesome people. Yet, the trailer totally blows. Let's hope this isn't any indication of the movie.
Check out Sean Astin in this other trailer for Stay Cool.

Here at Movieline, we've seen some pretty random casts take the screen. Take for instance, the Wtf-ery of The Big Bang (James Van Der Beek, Antonio Banderas and Snoop Dogg) or the brain teaser talent pool on Dorothy of Oz (Lea Michele, Kelsey Grammer and Patrick Stewart). But what can possibly be said about a trailer featuring Winona Ryder, Hilary Duff, Chevy Chase, Jon Cryer, Josh Holloway and Sean Astin acting out a second-rate Grosse Point Blank plot? Take a look at the trailer for Stay Cool and then we'll try to articulate our thoughts.

High School will always have a certain cache; it is the place of dashed hopes, awkward stages and first kisses. It is also a comic gold mine.
With a premise that harkens back to "Never Been Kissed," comes a new adults-in-high-school movie, "Stay Cool."
The comedy is about a writer (Mark Polish) who returns to his alma mater as commencement speaker and is urged to "connect" with the class.
He ends up catching the eye of a sexy student (Hilary Duff), a situation which is made worse once his high school crush (Winona Ryder) comes back on the scene.
What a gas!

Paramount’s Footloose is also slated to dance into theaters this October — though on the 14th. And surprisingly, early word on this remake has been positive! Kenny Wormald takes on the role originated by Kevin Bacon in the 1984 toe-tapping musical, which centers on a teen who rebels against his conservative town’s no-dancing policies by cutting loose…Footloose. Being cool is tough. If you think you're cool, you're not. If you want to be cool, you won't be. And if you somehow manage to end being cool anyway, well, staying cool is the most difficult thing of all.
Just ask the all-star cast of "Stay Cool," which is finally arriving in theaters on September 16 a full two years after it was filmed -- and which has just released its first trailer to the wondering world.
But is the trailer cool?
Brought to you by the brother team of Mark and Michael Polish, "Stay Cool" features a slew of television luminaries -- Josh Holloway ("Lost"), Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men"), Chevy Chase ("Community") -- alongside the likes of Hillary Duff, Winona Ryder and Sean Astin in a comedy about a guy (Mark Polish himself) who goes back to his old high school for a speaking engagement and...

You guys! I found Hilary Duff! I found her! Turns out that she's been hiding out in this movie called Stay Cool. Stay Cool is about a writer who goes back to his old high school for research/ to bone a bunch of people. The cast list is "impressive" depending on what your translation for impressive is (I'd say the cast is generally half and half); Winona Ryder, Jon Cryer, Josh Holloway, Chevy Chase, Mark Polish, Sean Astin, and the aforementioned Duff.

Hilary Duff can have extra cupcake frosting and whatever kind of sprinkles she wants today, as it's her birthday. The actress and singer is now 23 years old, and if that seems especially young, it's because Duff has been an active participant in pop culture since the premiere of the Disney Channel original series "Lizzie McGuire" in 2001 (when she was only 13). Since then, she has established herself as a top-shelf actress (starring in hits like "A Cinderella Story," "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "Raise Your Voice") and singer (having logged hits like "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean," which also served as the theme song to the hit MTV show "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County").
Though she hasn't released new music since 2007's Dignity (a much more mature sounding album that incorporated elements of rock, hip-hop and dance music and dealt with the end of her relationship with Joel Madden as...

Chicago – The former Rosa Dolores Alverio, better known to audiences as Rita Moreno, has had a glorious and tempestuous journey through life and show business. One of her most notable roles is as Anita, the fiery friend of Maria in the film version of “West Side Story,” in which Moreno stops the show with the song “America.”
Moreno is also famous in show business lore for having swept the quartet of major awards, winning the Oscar (for Best Supporting Actress in West Side Story), the Tony (for “The Ritz”), the Grammy (for “The Electric Company” soundtrack) and the Emmy (twice, for Variety and Drama). Her other bling includes the Golden Globe (also for West Side Story) and two presidential citations.
