Some of my favorite moments come from this unorthodox episode. I see why some may not like this one as it might seem out of place juxtaposed to other episodes, but it worked for me. All of the half Philly-half British accents and the final 4-5 minutes made this one of my favorite episodes thus far.

Bad episode - incredible ending

As I watched the episode, I remarked to my viewing partner several times about how bad the episode was compared to most. A lot of money seemed to go into the period sets for not much payoff. But the ending...staying spoiler free it reminded me of the "Richer" episode of South Park - another program with a million dollar end scene.
I love the idiots that make this show.

I don't normally take to the episodes that dip into fantasy settings or the supernatural, but I love this one. Having a non-fantasy framing story really helps with that.
The mix of olde English accents with their modern Philly slang is great. All of the characters fill exactly the role they would fill had they been around during the American Revolution. It's all tied together with that trademark early-series Always Sunny charm and profanity.
Not sure why it's rated 7.8, I loved it.

If you've never seen this show give it a try. This is the episode I started watching it. I couldn't stop laughing. It's one of the funniest shows ever imo. Almost Seinfeld good. I'm so glad Danny Devito is on it. He's still a riot all these years later. I never heard of Charlie Day before I started watching this. Now Im a big fan. He's the main reason I watched Horrible Bosses 2. I'm also a big Philly fan and a huge fan of One Liberty Place - I wish they would do an episode in that building. Lol They closed the Observation Deck which is unfortunate. I loved that place. So to keep a long story short ( too late) if you like outlandish, profane, absurd and absolutely hilarious and smart comedy try out It's always Sunny. Especially this episode. It had me in stitches. Still does lol.
