It is true that when you start portraying one character so perfectly in the film industry for an extended period of time, they start getting recognition and become synonymous with it. Such was the case with Elizabeth Olsen, who rose to international stardom with her portrayal of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well, if one gets an opportunity to work with one of the most successful superhero franchises in the world, they would definitely take it, as it’ll put them on the list of the top stars in the industry.
Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
However, the Kill Your Darlings actress had grown bored of her superhero role and wanted to step back because she felt it killed the acting range and limited her opportunities as an artist. Now, her dream has come true as Olsen is going to...

“It’s awesome,” he told the publication. “I’ve kind of really enjoyed the first six months.” He also noted that he isn’t sure what he imagined of fatherhood, “but it’s great. He’s incredible and I’m just, like, in awe.”
Radcliffe and his longtime girlfriend, Erin Darke, welcomed their first son in April, a month after news broke that the couple was expecting. The actors met on the set of 2013’s Kill Your Darlings, in which he played famous poet Allen Ginsberg, and Darke portrayed a woman he has a sexual encounter with in a library.

This article contains spoilers for "Good Omens" season 2.
If you watched "Good Omens" season 2 when it debuted in July, chances are you've spent the last several weeks humming the same song as a few million other fans of the show. Buddy Holly's "Everyday" is the unofficial theme song of the fantasy comedy series' second season, and it's an earworm that's both impossible to shake and too fun to even want to.
"Everyday" first appeared in the sophomore season trailer, and seemed to be hinting towards some sort of countdown. "Every day/it's a-gettin' closer," Holly sings -- but what's the "it" in question? The apocalypse? An answer to the question of Gabriel's sudden appearance on earth? A big old smooch between the demon Crowley (David Tennant) and the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen). The answer turned out to be two of the three, but within the show's story, the...

When “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe made his stage debut in 2007, he shocked Hollywood. At 17 years old, Radcliffe was cast as the lead in “Equus,” a Peter Shaffer play in which he would simulate sex with a horse.
Sixteen years later, a similar announcement would barely turn heads.
Now 33, Radcliffe has spent more time working as a professional actor outside of the franchise that skyrocketed him to fame than in it — and creating a singular body of work that exemplifies his artistic sensibilities and talent. Just four years after “Equus” and in the same summer as the final “Potter” premiere, he took a crash course in singing and dancing to lead the Broadway revival of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” (cast recording). This was followed by tackling horror in “The Woman in Black,” playing Allen Ginsberg in “Kill Your Darlings,” and running head-first into the dark fantasy “Horns.

Summer isn’t over yet but HBO and its streaming arm Max are already moving on to fall. With its list of new releases for August 2023, Max is focusing on football! The American kind, mind you, not the actually footy kind.
August 2023 sees the release of two major football documentaries on HBO and Max. The first is the premiere of Hard Knocks on Aug. 10. The new season of long-running NFL training camp docuseries will center on the New York Jets, new employers of legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers. On Aug. 23, Max will air the aptly named Bs High. The doc tells the stranger-than-fiction story of high school football team Bishop Sycamore, which pulled off one of the more notable sports scams you’re likely to ever hear about.
Not of the football variety but in keeping with the North American sports theme will be season 2 of Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty on Aug.

Harry Potter coming to its conclusion was an emotional time for the actors involved. So much so that the cast and crew considered branding themselves with a permanent reminder of their time on set. But although Rupert Grint was interested in the idea, it seemed a few of his co-stars weren’t on board.

Grint and Watson had different feelings regarding how to commemorate the end of the Harry Potter franchise. According to Grint, they considered inking themselves. To honor both the movies and the character, the tattoos would’ve referenced Harry Potter’s iconic look.
“There was talk between us about doing something like a tattoo,” Grint once told Daily Mirror. “It would have been something subtle like Harry’s lightning scar. It would’ve been a great way of marking the end of filming.

Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke are the proud parents of a baby boy! Radcliffe shared the sex of the couple's baby in a July 3 interview with Entertainment Tonight. A representative for Radcliffe previously confirmed the news of the baby's arrival to Popsugar on April 25. The news came after the longtime couple were spotted out and about in New York City on Monday, April 24, together, pushing a baby carriage in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
While talking with Et, the "Harry Potter" star discussed how much he's loving being a dad. "It's great. It's crazy and intense, but he's wonderful and Erin is amazing - it's a real privilege also to have this time with him," Radcliffe said. "I was always going to take some time off, which not everyone is able to do, and so I'm able to kind of just be here with him a lot, which is lovely.

Exclusive: Michael C. Hall has signed with CAA for representation.
Hall is best known for starring in Showtime’s award-winning series Dexter, and in HBO’s Six Feet Under. The two roles earned him a Golden Globe, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and several Emmy Award nominations.
He recently reprised the role of Dexter Morgan in Dexter: New Blood, the limited series in which he starred and executive produced. Showtime is definitely interested in more Dexter series; it already said it is considering a Dexter prequel series about the Trinity Killer while also developing Dexter: Origins and the next chapter of Dexter: New Blood.
Hall’s stage career includes such Broadway performances as the emcee in the 1999 revival of Cabaret, directed by Sam Mendes; Hedwig in John Cameron Mitchell’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch; and John Jones in The Realistic Joneses opposite Toni Collette, Marisa Tomei, and Tracy Letts.

Between the Harry Potter film franchise and independent projects like "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story," the 33-year-old actor is best known for his versatile acting range. So naturally, it's no surprise that he met his longtime girlfriend, fellow actor Erin Darke, at work.
The two appeared together in the 2013 film "Kill Your Darlings" alongside Michael C. Hall, Jack Huston, and Ben Foster. And in 2021, they shared the screen once again in a season three episode of TBS's anthology series "Miracle Workers: Dark Ages."
Following their time in "Kill Your Darlings," the two shared an immediate connection, and a romance blossomed between them. Since then, the couple have been going strong, and they remain together a decade later. "I've got a really nice life. I've been with my girlfriend for a decade pretty much. Daniel Radcliffe parted ways with his Harry Potter castmates after the end of the final film. Once the trio pursued their own individual careers, Radcliffe didn’t think it was a good idea to collaborate with his co-stars in another film. At least not until a certain amount of time had passed.
Daniel Radcliffe once shared that he and Rupert Grint didn’t see each other as much as fans might have thought Daniel Radcliffe | Taylor Hill/FilmMagic
Radcliffe and Grint developed a long-lasting friendship thanks to their time together in the Harry Potter films. But after the movies ended, Radcliffe shared that it was easier maintaining communication with Emma Watson than it was with Grint.
“There’s this idea that Emma, Rupert and myself are the best of friends who always hang out together. I’m just going to put out there, Emma and I text all the time...

In the third season of Ted Lasso, Ted and his coaches discuss whether it’s a good idea for AFC Richmond to pursue Zava, a brilliant footballer who is also a ball-hogging diva. Adding Zava to the team would be a massive talent boost, but it would mean reconfiguring the entire offense around the new guy, sending one current starter to the reserves, changing everyone else’s role, and perhaps disrupting the harmonious locker room chemistry that has been Ted’s biggest achievement since arriving to coach in the Premier League.

In the past, George Lucas himself has admitted that he's not exactly a wordsmith when it comes to movie dialogue. In 1999, just as the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy was getting underway with "The Phantom Menace," Lucas spoke at length to Empire magazine about his utilitarian attitude toward dialogue, saying things like, "I'm aware that dialogue isn't my strength," and, "I'd be the first person to say I can't write dialogue."
If he'd be the first, then Harrison Ford would surely be the second. An oft-repeated story about Ford and Lucas and clunky "Star Wars" dialogue involves the Han Solo actor telling the "New Hope" writer-director: "George, you can type this s***, but you can't say it." In 2017, with "The Force Awakens" in his rearview mirror, Ford elaborated on the origin of that quote and how it started out as a joke on set. He told GQ:

Daniel Radcliffe came up with surprising answer when asked about his favourite role to date.
The British actor is best known for his performance as Harry Potter in the hit wizarding franchise based on Jk Rowling’s series of books.
He also received critical praise for his performance as Allen Ginsburg in Kill Your Darlings, and in the horror film The Woman in Black.
Despite these memorable roles, Radcliffe revealed that his favourite to date was starring alongside Paul Dano in Swiss Army Man.
In the 2016 film, Radcliffe played the role of a flatulent corpse named Manny who is befriended by Dano’s shipwrecked Hank.
“As an actor, you read so many scripts, and so many of them are the same script,” he explained toThe Hollywood Reporter.

In the spring of 2020, two films starring Daniel Radcliffe came out, almost back-to-back.
In Escape From Pretoria, he played Tim Jenkin, the real-life anti-apartheid activist and former political prisoner who in 1978 was part of a daring and successful breakout — using secretly made wooden keys — from a South African jail.
In Guns Akimbo, he played Miles, a computer programmer in a bonkers near-future who wakes up one morning to find that a criminal kingpin’s gang of henchmen — including a masked guy called Fuckface — had bloodily bolted guns onto each of his hands.
For those who had been keeping an eye on Radcliffe’s post-Harry Potter career, this quick-fire double of taut historical prison thriller and insane action-comedy sci-fi felt like the perfect summary as he neared almost a decade since leaving one of the world’s most successful movie franchises.

Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke made a rare red carpet appearance on Monday night. The longtime couple smiled for photos together at the NYC screening of "The Lost City," a comedy starring Radcliffe alongside Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. Darke wore a black-and-white floral dress, while Radcliffe subtly matched in a black suede jacket and printed shirt underneath. Their appearance marks their first red carpet since the 2014 Tony Awards, where Radcliffe was nominated for his role in "The Cripple of Inishmaan."
The actors met on the set of "Kill Your Darlings" in 2013 and confirmed their relationship publicly the following year. While the low-key couple are quite private, Radcliffe most recently talked about their romance in 2019. "Doing the most mundane stuff, like just going shopping, with [Darke] is just a joy," he said on People Now. "It's fun. I never thought I would find going to the supermarket a genuinely fun experience,...

Ben Foster, Charmaine Bingwa, Gilbert Owuor and Mustafa Shakir have joined the cast of Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming thriller “Emancipation,” starring Will Smith.
Smith stars as Peter, a runaway slave who flees Louisiana in hopes of traveling north to freedom. “Emancipation” is inspired by the true story of “Whipped Peter,” an enslaved person who emancipated himself from a southern plantation and joined the Union Army. In 1863, photos taken of Peter during an Army medical examination first appeared in Harper’s Weekly. One image, known as “The Scourged Back,” shows the scars from a whipping on Peter’s bare back, illustrating the true cruelty of slavery and ultimately contributed to growing public opposition.
Fuqua will direct from a script by William N. Collage. Fuqua Films and Smith’s media company Westbrook Inc. are backing the project, which sold to Apple Studios for a reported $120 million.

Bob and Jeanne Berney’s Picturehouse will open Marco Pontecorvo’s Fatima in theaters and direct to home (PVOD) throughout North America on Aug. 28.
The pic was last scheduled for an Aug. 14, 1,000-theater-plus run. The distributor has been having sold out pop-up drive-in previews recently as part of their grassroots word-of-mouth digital marketing campaign.
Picturehouse picked up the movie in October. The movie was first scheduled for April 24 before the exhibition Covid-19 shutdown. The movie is set during the Spanish Flu, and has echoes to what’s going on now.
“The response to Fatima at our Pop-Up Drive-In Premieres has been wonderful,” says Bob Berney, CEO. “Audiences and social media reactions have convinced us that we need to get this movie out now. We held out as long as possible for a traditional theatrical release, but given the national situation, we did not want to postpone the release of this...
