I love Critical Role. I love this campaign. I love these characters. But I am starting to wish this campaign would wrap up and we could start afresh on campaign 3.
The storytelling has become bogged down and self- indulgent, with little happening week after week. Bloated, bland tangents or incredibly long sequences rehashing the same conversations already had.
This is an incredibly talented bunch of people, but there has been a real lack of direction in recent times. A 5 minute conversation or piece of exposition turns into 30 minutes and another weekly 4- hour session goes by and I wonder what happened.
What was once the premier role play show has slipped to number three.
I'm still here, still watching, still hoping.
Bring back the adventure and I'll be here for another hundred episodes.
