- Sgt. Reznov: The rotten cancer of the fascist Reich ravages Europe like a plague. Their relentless drive into our motherland steals the lives of men, women, and children alike. The arrogance of their leaders is matched only by the brutality of their soldiers. These are the darkest days of the Nazi occupation of Stalingrad.
- Pvt. Chernov: Sergeant Reznov, you seem to relish in the slaughter.
- Sgt. Reznov: I've seen my friends die in front of me at the hands of this vermin! They deserve everything that get and more!
- Sgt. Reznov: Burn the wheat fields! There will be no escape! SHOOT!
- Pvt. Chernov: Are we to shoot them in the back?
- Sgt. Reznov: The back, the front, the head! Wherever you wish! Just so long as they are dead!
- Commissar Markhov: Your motherland needs your final commitment... The SS honor guard defending this building will fight to their last breath. Crush the last remnants of resistance and this night our flag will fly over this city. We must not falter! Show strength, show courage, show pride, but show no mercy!
- [last lines]
- Sgt. Reznov: As long as you live, the heart of this army can never be broken. Things will change my friend. As heroes, we will return to Russia's embrace.
- Sgt. Reznov: [reading Chernov's diary] April 30th, 1945. When he first spoke of Dimitri, Reznov told tales of a hero, someone we should all aspire to be like. At times I have seen him show mercy, but at others I viewed complete brutality. I do not understand him. Perhaps heroes need not question their actions.
- Commissar Markhov: On the Fuhrer's birthday, a barrage of Katyusha rockets will tear Berlin to pieces! With your bullets... with your bayonets... with your bare hands. Do the same to their wretched soldiers!
- Commissar Markhov: We should spread the word! Citizens of Berlin! A ring of steel surrounds your rotten city! We will crush all those who dare resist the will of the Red Army! Abandon your posts... Abandon your homes... Abandon all hope! URA!
- Japanese Solider: You think because you say nothing you are strong.
- [walks over to Pyle starts beating him up]
- Pvt. Pyle: [to Miller] Don't tell 'em... a fucking thing...
- [he spits blood onto the Japanese officer's face; the officer puts a cigarette out in Pyle's eye]
- Pvt. Pyle: Go to hell.
- [the officer tells another soldier in Japanese to kill both Pyle and Miller; he slits Pyle's throat, and as he is about to kill Miller, he is killed by Roebuck]
- Cpl. Roebuck: Miller. You're okay. Thank God. We're gonna make 'em pay for what they've done.
- Sgt. Sullivan: Fuckers!
- [to Miller]
- Sgt. Sullivan: Grab a rifle. We are going to tear this place apart.
- Gen. Douglas MacArthur: It is my earnest hope, and indeed the hope of all mankind, that from this solemn occasion a better world shall emerge out of the blood and carnage of the past.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt: Yesterday, Dec 7th, 1941 - a date that shall live in infamy. The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by Naval and Air Forces of the Empire of Japan.
- Sgt. Reznov: The Red Army's advance in to Germany is swift and brutal. In mere months, we have reached Seelow Heights - the last line of defense before the German capital. We outnumber the Germans ten to one! Wave upon wave of our infantry are unleashed upon them to clear the way for our armor. Once we have control of Seelow, we will begin the march to Berlin. There, we will ensure that every sacrifice is repaid in blood.
- Sgt. Reznov: The path towards our glorious victory has been a journey of blood and brutality. All of it has been necessary. When the flag of our motherland flies atop the Reichstag, all of Berlin know that the evil of the fascist Reich has been wiped from the face of the earth.
- Pvt. Chernov: [from diary, depending on how many surrendering Germans you kill] April 30th, 1945. When he first spoke of Dimitri, Reznov told tales of a hero, someone we should all aspire to be like. His merciless brutality defines in more ways a savage, just like the rest of the Red Army. He is no hero.
- Russian Soldier: We must be getting close to the roof. Look at how far we've come!
- Russian Soldier: We should throw these animals over the roof!
- Sgt. Reznov: Sniping your enemy is like hunting any other animal. Fire at the wrong moment and your chance will be forever lost.
- Sgt. Reznov: Fortune smiles on us. In Berlin, the Germans will truly see what they have unleashed. But in the midst of all the blood, the bullets, and the dead, I found that an old friend was still very much alive... Dimitri Petrenko. I saw this man cheat death time after time at the siege of Stalingrad. As long as he lives, the heart of this army cannot be broken. He makes us all proud.
- Sgt. Reznov: [to Chernov] Which do you think is more important, writing about this war or fighting it?
