- Decourcy pursues justice in and out of the courtroom. Despite his maneuvering, Jackie discovers he can't escape his past, and Jenny finally confront hers. Cathy says goodbye to the root of her struggles. Siobhan has sights on a new dream.

Repeat of FBI agent Jackie Rohr pleading with U.S. Attorney Karen Shimizu to let him help get justice for Decourcy and Siobhan.
Title card: "When Grace Campbell leads the police to her son Anton, he is shot and killed by BPD Officer Tony Suferin." Repeat of Jackie telling Anton that his mother gave him up to the police. Repeat of Anton getting shot and killed by Officer Suferin, to Grace's distress. Repeat of Det. Sgt. Chris Caysen manhandling Suferin in anger at him disregarding orders not to enter the house that Anton was in. Repeat of Suferin claiming that Anton wheeled on him. Repeat of Officer Russ Wallace looking uneasy upon hearing Suferin say that.
Title card: "Kick Ryan discovers her mother Cathy is selling drugs, putting the whole family in danger." Repeat of Cathy Ryan accepting a packet of drugs from Mick Diaz. Repeat of Cathy trying to comfort Kick, only to be told not to touch her.
Title card: "Jackie Rohr's involvement in Holly Gunner's overdose is under scrutiny." Repeat of Asst. U.S. Attorney Holly Gunner going unconscious from the drugs that Jackie gave her. Repeat of Jackie leaving her on the sidewalk in front of his former partner, Salvatore Clasby, at St. Eligius Hospital.
Title card: "Jenny learns that her father, who sexually abused her as a child, is still alive." Repeat of Jenny Rohr telling her mother, Rosa Congemi, that she's going to find her father without Rosa's help. Rosa predicts a reunion wouldn't go well.
Title card: "To help Maeve escape her IRA past, Jenny comes to her friend's rescue with cash." Repeat of Maeve Regan showing Jenny her Irish Republican tattoo. Repeat of Jenny handing Maeve an envelope with $5,000 cash. Repeat of Jenny insisting to Jackie that she did a good deed by helping Maeve.
Jackie arrives at a crime scene. FBI agent Keenan Cole describes the crime as an arms deal gone bad with one Greek person and three Irish people killed. Cole suspects the weapons were destined for the IRA. Jackie notices that one of the dead is Maeve Regan and quotes Voltaire, but pretends he doesn't know her.
Decourcy meets his boss, D.A. Guy Dan, in a restaurant. Guy wants Decourcy to sit second chair with him at Kelvin Campbell's felony murder trial. Decourcy says no, pointing out that it would look vengeful since Kelvin's brother, Anton, shot his wife. Guy counters that to the majority-black jury, a white D.A. prosecuting a young black man would also be a bad look. Decourcy wants something in exchange: Officer Suferin in prison for killing Anton. Guy agrees to it once Kelvin's convicted.
Jackie interrupts Jenny composing a song. He lets her fantasy about Maeve being happy in her new life slide. He promises to be present for Jenny's next church solo and starts dancing with her.
Decourcy approaches Jackie at a sidewalk food counter. He tells Jackie he wants Suferin convicted of murdering Anton. He points out it would look good for Jackie, help him to get out from under the Holly Gunner suspicion, and keep him from getting transferred to a small town. Jackie says he doesn't want to help bust a white cop.
Grace asks for Siobhan's help in defending Kelvin. Angry at all the Campbells, Siobhan is unreceptive.
Mick confronts Cathy outside her Charlestown apartment building. He says she's late paying him for the drugs he gave her. When her kids come out, Kick asks who he is, but Cathy brushes off the question.
At home, Siobhan tells Decourcy about Grace wanting help for Kelvin. Decourcy says she doesn't owe the Campbells forgiveness. She indicates she's leaning towards leniency for Kelvin. As for other matters at work, she complains that her bosses are handling her with kid gloves, taking a case she has been working on away from her and giving it to a different lawyer.
Shimizu warns Jackie that the Office of Professional Responsibility has him in their sights. Instead of an ignominious transfer, he could face losing his job. Jackie does a 180 and offers to trade dirty cop Suferin in exchange for Shimizu making the OPR inquiry go away. She tacitly agrees, but only if Jackie delivers.
Jackie visits Officer Wallace. Wallace claims he saw nothing the day Anton was shot. Jackie insinuates that Wallace's new Mustang was bought with hush money, and takes him for a drive in his Lincoln Town Car.
Guy delivers his opening statement at Kelvin's trial, and paints him as culpable and "savage" even though he didn't pull the trigger in the murders of Junior Senegel and the Copeland Crew.
Jackie gives Wallace's statement about Suferin murdering Anton to Shimizu. Shimizu claims she tried to get the OPR off Jackie's back in return, but was unsuccessful.
Grace testifies as a character witness in Kelvin's trial. Guy tries to impeach her credibility on cross-examination by bringing up her false alibi for Anton. Grace wonders why Boston cares when an ADA's wife gets shot, but not when people from her neighborhood get shot. Siobhan leaves the courtroom, and Decourcy follows.
Siobhan is angry that Guy used the fact that Anton shot her as a weapon against Grace. She bemoans the cycle of punishment and revenge. She cries in Decourcy's arms.
Decourcy confronts Guy in the men's restroom for using Siobhan to hurt Grace and Kelvin. Guy is unapologetic.
Kelvin's attorney, Kamal Kalil, tries to reassure Kelvin, but after looking at Rev. Isaiah Hughes' face, Kelvin intuits that they're losing. Kelvin wants to testify on his own behalf. Kalil disagrees, but the Reverend points out that letting the white D.A. go after Kelvin may be the only thing that gets the jury's sympathy.
On the witness stand, Kelvin says he wants to change his plea to guilty. Decourcy tells Guy it's a dirty win. Guy doesn't care.
Benny Rohr gets her father, Jackie, to open her letter from NYU. She's been accepted.
Siobhan visits Eloise at her office. Siobhan is dispirited with her life. She wants to quit working for her law firm and go to work for the ACLU. Eloise expresses confidence in her daughter.
Jenny ties Jackie's tie for him on the morning of his professional review, but he doesn't tell her what lies ahead for him.
The Office of Professional Responsibility is disturbed by the many allegations that have been made against Jackie in the course of his career. They're curious as to why he did not investigate the murders of two of his confidential informants, Clay Roach and Jimmy Ryan. They're particularly concerned about the drug overdose of Holly Gunner. Jackie blows up and says he left her at St. Eligius in Salvatore Clasby's care because he didn't want her to lose her career over one mistake.
Jackie tries to look up Salvy Clasby at home. A neighbor says Salvy and his wife went on vacation, taking a lot of suitcases and even the birdcage.
Benny and her boyfriend, Faust Aquino, talk about going to NYU in the fall. Benny tells Jenny that Rosa called and, at Faust's urging, Benny agreed to give Rosa a ride to physical therapy, and asks for Jenny's help in getting Rosa's pain prescription refilled. Jenny's miffed at Benny and Faust because of this.
Siobhan tells Decourcy she's going to leave her law firm for the ACLU. He says it's not a good time to make big decisions. He points out that this will again put them on opposite sides of the legal system.
When Jenny drops off Rosa's prescription, her aunt, Lena Capozza, gives Jenny her father's address.
Mick confronts Cathy outside her apartment building about missing their rendezvous. She shoots him, he drops to the ground, and she walks to the entrance.
Shimizu approaches Jackie at a bar. She says Suferin has been indicted, and that the OPR is recommending termination for Jackie.
Jackie visits Father Diarmuid Doyle, quotes Thomas Paine, and asks to make a confession. Jackie asks him not to tell Jenny the truth about Maeve. Jackie confesses to breaking and entering Father Doyle's office. He realized that the $5,000 donation he made to the church last year never got deposited in the church's bank account, therefore Father Doyle is stealing from the church and giving the money to the IRA. Jackie says if Father Doyle gives any more money to the IRA, he'll have him up on federal charges, which will mean deportation back to Ireland. Jackie breaks Doyle's thumb to drive the point home.
Grace visits Kelvin in prison. He's bruised. He tells her not to come back next week. It would be a distraction from the things he needs to pay attention to inside.
Jackie goes home, tells Jenny he loves her, and they make love. Afterwards, Jenny asks him why he chose her all those years ago. He says that a Marine like him can spot when someone else has been through hell, and he saw it in her. She tells him her father's alive and living in the North End neighborhood of Boston. Jackie says to just let it go.
Cathy and her kids load up the car to move to Florida. Cathy gives Boston the finger on the way out.
Grace moves out of her apartment in Braxton Summit in Roxbury because of a HUD rule that says that if anyone in your family is convicted of a felony, you have to leave federal housing. The neighbors clap for her as she leaves. Rev. Hughes says that at the next Sunday service, he's going to tell the congregation that her HUD grant application for the neighborhood was approved.
Decourcy buys Jackie a round at a bar and thanks him for nailing Suferin. Jackie says he's going to fight his termination. He also reports that Kelvin Campbell was killed at Walpole State Prison. Decourcy is disturbed. Jackie is unmoved.
Jenny goes to her father's home. A woman named Eve Cergol answers the door. Jenny identifies herself as Joseph Congemi's daughter. Eve says Joe's got nothing to say to her, and closes the door.
Grace's church holds a service for the slain children of Braxton Summit. Siobhan embraces Grace, who's holding pictures of Anton and Kelvin. Sgt. Caysen sits in a pew.
Jackie throws his badge into the harbor.
