Historically, "Cagney & Lacey", 40 years back, brought to tv 2 tough female cops who in at least a subliminal way projected a lesbian subtext. Unfortunately, Girlfriends' "Lesbian Crime Stories" series goes explicit but makes almost farcical the presentation of an all-female police procedural show.
Split into two halves as often Girlsway DVDs go, we get two female teams of police investigators working on different cases. A constant is that each set of cop partners has sex with each other: first busty Ariella Ferrera with Carter Cruise and later, minus the star power, Blair Williams and Jessica Rex.
The crime scene investigation footage is boring and amateurishly directed. Clues and suspects suffer from lousy writing, and the final revelation of the guilty parties borders on ludicrously stupid. So once again, we have sex being the show's only saving grace.
