There’s no need to deny that K-dramas are definitely taking over the world, and the past decade has literally become the highlight of South Korean shows. There are many new releases every month which ultimately end up being huge successes not only in Korea, but all over the world.
However, there are some K-dramas that have made a statement in the industry and are considered to be the best. One of them is a tough drama called The Glory that premiered in 2022. Since then, the fans have become obsessed with gripping series with mysteries and murder stories.
That’s why here we have 5 more K-dramas that give off just the same vibe and are a must watch.
1. Beyond Evil (2021)
At the center of the story is a strong desire of two fearless men to bring justice into their lives and to their small city, which has been shaken up by a serial killer.

Beyond Evil (2021)
When the quiet life of the town is shattered by the serial killer, two detectives do their best to catch him and stop the murders. But the deeper they dig, the more skeletons they find, and the less they trust everyone around them, each other, and even themselves. This K-drama will make you question everything you see.

We think that the obsession may have started after Beyond Evil’s success. So here are 3 more K-dramas to binge if you loved that one.

In the years at the start of the Korean New Wave, a number of titles from the country broke out that showed the wider audience what the cinema of the country was capable of in an all-round fashion. One genre that the filmmakers there have always been rather proficient at is the romantic melodrama and works like “Christmas in August” reiterated the same at the start of the New Wave. However, in 2000 came “Ditto”, a “science-fiction” romance that was unlike something the South Korea had produced before, a feature that went on to be a big hit with the audience. The story, a high-concept romance which connects two people in different eras through a ham radio, resonated with and is much loved by audiences and storytellers alike, so much so that 22 years later, we get a modern day namesake retelling from “Go Back” director Seo Eun-young.

From action-packed thrillers like “Squid Game” and “All of Us Are Dead” to romantic comedies like “Business Proposal” and “Crash Landing on You,” it seems the world can’t get enough of K-dramas these days. Netflix, for its part, has recently announced its plans to invest a whopping $2.5 billion in South Korean content over the next several years, so it looks like the K-drama craze won’t be dying anytime soon.
But with so many Korean TV shows already available on Netflix, it can feel overwhelming to sort through dozens—if not hundreds—of K-dramas on the platform and figure out which ones to watch. So here we’ve made the job much easier by curating the top K-dramas to stream on Netflix, in no particular order. Over the past few years, I have become heavily immersed in K-content and K-dramas on a personal and professional level. Many hours have been spent watching the same perfectly executed tropes in various genres, from crime thrillers to romance K-dramas. Some dramas have won my heart and become favorites, like the teen romance True Beauty. But there is no denying that not all K-dramas were spectacular. K-dramas like Inspector Koo and a few others did not hold my interest and were unfinished.
Unfinished K-dramas ‘Inspector Koo,’ ‘Forecasting Love and Weather,’ and ‘Bad and Crazy’ | via Jtbc ‘Inspector Koo’ lacked the riveting edge of a murder mystery
It is not often that a crime K-drama has a female character as the heinous killer. The 2021 Netflix K-drama Inspector Koo made me excited as two female actors would lead the storyline. The storyline had a fun quirkiness that seemed like a good investment.

That includes Kim Du-Sik a former baseball player caught in a gambling scandal and trying to dodge the mob and the police. Applications are open today for Aacta Pitch: Bite, a feature film development initiative in partnership with Monster Pictures.
The call out is for horror or elevated genre feature film concepts; the theme of ‘bite’ can be taken literally, as in monsters, vampires, zombies or cannibals, or metaphorically, as in to ‘take the bait’.
The winner will receive $10,000 in development funds and an Australian theatrical distribution agreement with Monster Pictures, as well as two tickets to the Aacta Awards and a 12-month Aacta professional membership.
Last year’s theme was isolation, and in addition to the winning project, Julia Corcoran’s Burning, a further five projects were also optioned.
Keeping in line with the overall spirit of the initiative, the project ideas must work effectively with minimal locations, small casts and lower budgets.
“After such a successful first year, Monster Pictures is really looking forward to sinking our teeth into this year’s initiative.

Hunter S. Thompson is a confounding figure. Though he didn’t invent Gonzo journalism, he is the most identifiable face of it. His first-person narrative style of news gathering makes him partially accountable for the overriding trends of internet journalism, on both sides of the aisle and all the cleanup calls which go along with them. Thompson’s 1970 attempt to run for sheriff of Pitkin County, Colorado, marked the beginning of baby boomer politicking. Writer-director Bobby Kennedy III’s Fear and Loathing in Aspen tells that story with wit, wisdom and weirdness.
Set just before Thomson, played by Jay Bulger, caught his stride with his 1971 novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream, the film conjures the energy of strange, new beginnings. Much of it is shot on vintage grade, grainy film stock, and it looks like the actors were free...

Sales slate includes on As Sick As They Made Us, Dig.
Clay Epstein’s Los Angeles-based sales agency Film Mode Entertainment (Fme), in talks with buyers at the virtual Cannes market on As Sick As They Made Us and Dig, has set up a consultancy business.
Fme Consulting will help filmmakers navigate all stages of the filmmaking process from development to financing, production, and distribution.
The division will run separately from the sales business, so Film Mode will not necessarily handle sales on films from consultancy clients unless it suits both parties. Similarly sales clents will only access consultancy services if they request it.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the third and final season of “Shrill,” now streaming on Hulu.
Halfway through its second season, “Shrill” beat its wayward characters to the punch by figuring itself out completely.
Based on Lindy West’s memoir of the same name, the Hulu comedy spent much of tis first season fixated on a single cataclysmic event. Annie (co-creator Aidy Bryant), a writer for a weekly paper called The Thorn, had spent most of her life shrinking herself to fit society’s standards, but is forced to confront her issues as she confronts an internet troll who had made it his business to bully her relentlessly about her weight. Echoing West’s real-life experience, Annie ends up finding and calling him out personally, a moment that’s shocking to him and exhilarating for her. With just six episodes, though, the first season doesn...
