Interesting
This is found on the DVD of The Kingdom, among other special features. You may be wondering what exactly this *is*. Interactive Timeline is a fancy way to say that this is a summary of the history of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where you click to get further. Don't get me wrong; they did a nice job, and anything more than this would have made it flashy. You get a visual representation of the line, and you move back and forth with the arrows on your remote, and click Enter on the year and the specific event, some of which have headlines. It starts in the 1930's, and goes on to the early 2000's. Every bit of it is well-written, comes off as wholly unbiased and fair, same as the film, and it is brief, concise and entirely to the point. Avoiding bogging down with a vast library of other facts(you can always read a book on the subject, stuff like this has to contend with attention-grabbing TV), this does not at all feel like a school lesson, in spite of managing to teach you a thing or two about relatively recent times. There is nothing offensive in this, apart from mentions of violence and other disturbing content. I recommend this to everyone old enough to handle it. 7/10
