In an interview with Nordisk Film & TV Fond in February 2022, director Christoffer Sandler reveals that Melina Paukkonen, who plays Audrey in the movie, has been diagnosed with ADHD.
The two main actors ( Nikki and Melina ) had to learn to ride together on a bike since none of them had ever done it before. They practiced together a couple of hours before shooting the scene.
The ADHD condition suffered by Joanna in the movie is a genuine neurobehavioral disorder affecting millions of people worldwide. Usually diagnosed in childhood, ADHD is commonly a lifelong condition that continues into adulthood. ADHD has no cure but its various symptoms - difficulty concentrating, impulsive behavior, and fidgeting are just a few - can be controlled by medication. The flashing light bulbs phenomenon experienced by Joanna is one commonly reported description by ADHD sufferers of what it feels like when you are trying to concentrate on something. Another reported description of what it feels like is having butterflies flying around one's head.
The Capitol where Audrey works and where she helps Joanna get a job at the end of the movie is a real movie theatre on Skanstorget in Gothenburg. In addition to the exterior shots, filming was also done inside the theatre entrance lobby where you see Audrey serving customers before they go in to see the movie.
