Masterpiece of a plot. Everybody has a perspective, everyone has a different story, everyone has a different reason for doing things. Who is bad? Who is good? Isayama is a genius. Usually a plot having a lot of characters feels not well written. But isayama knows what he's doing...so many characters and everyone is there for a reason. Poor zeke. He was under so much pressure from his childhood. His parents never saw him as their kid , but as a warrior. Never asked what he wanted. He just wanted to live peacefully even if it meant living in the internment zone. Ofcourse that's what a kid would want. Absolutely amazing storyline.

One of the Best Episodes of All Time!

Zeke Yeager
Poor Zeke. This episode made me shed tears. Absolutely heartbreaking seeing Zeke getting his childhood taken away from him. All this innocent child wanted was to read the book about the "cat's house" and play baseball, instead he was being fed information to restore a WHOLE EMPIRE and forced to become a soldier for his parents sake. He kept doing his best and all he got in return was threats and being blamed for not being enough. Everything Zeke did his whole life was never for himself, it was always for his parents, eldians and everyone. He even accepted the fact that he might die, as a CHILD. I'm glad he met Tom Ksaver a good person who eventually saved his life, he listened to what Zeke has to say and played baseball with him instead of seeing him as a tool.
Grisha Yeager Yes Grisha was a bad father and he shouldn't have brainwashed and used Zeke as a tool for his dreams but we need to take his views into consideration. The Eldian Restorationists plan before Zeke betrayed them was to take the Founding Titan before Marley. Grisha had no choice but to try and make Zeke a warrior so he can be part of the mission to retake the Founder from the King of the Walls. If Marley would have got the Founder before the Restorationists that would mean the euthanasia of all Eldians. Grishas intentions were to Free all the Eldians even if it meant sacrificing his own sons Freedom.
Now let's say the Restorationists plan did come to fruition, what would they have done? They would have oppressed and eventually destroyed Marley. So basically they would have become the oppressors instead of the oppressed which truly shows that there's no right or wrong in this story which makes it an absolute masterpiece.
Now to end this review here's a meme:
Grisha: My son you have to save everyone.
Zeke: I'm about to end this mans whole Revolution.

Fantastic character development
ThisrandomFX21 March 2021
This is Zeke's version of the legendary episode "that day" and while it's not focused on Marley, rather just Zeke and his family, we get major revelations, such as why Zeke reported his family to Marley and most importantly what Zeke's plan truly is.
With some great directional choices like the room Tom Ksaver finds his family in, slowly melding in with reality or the final scene with Levi and Zeke, this episode is fantastic in almost every way it needs to be, especially Grisha's VA, really terrified me.
A fantastic episode for the story, can't wait for it to move forward.

Better than the Manga

The emotion of Zeke's backstory and the situation he was put in were incredible sad. The voice acting was top tier for Ksaver, Dina, Grisha and Zeke. The end of the episode was even more intense than the manga and the episode as a whole was perfect. All this on top of the scene with Eren that I forgot was in the manga this early, and you have one of the best AOT Episodes.
No black nor white, only shades of grey.

Warning: Spoilers
At this point there are so many characters with their own understandable motives that there is no good guy, no bad guy, meaning whoever wins, we're still going to be heartbroken. I've hated Zeke for a long time but this episode alone makes him one of my favourite characters and although I still believe him to be a sort of villain, I know why he's doing what he is doing and I feel myself rooting for him even despite how radical his plan is. This is a really emotional episode and sheds some much needed light on a character that we've been pretty in the dark on for a long while now. A perfect 10 from me. Just exemplary storytelling.
The voice actors' acting is crazy!!!!!!

Zeke Yeager. Attack on Titans best charecter.
harrisonjfox21 March 2021
The title might be a bit of an overexageration. But after this I strongly believe that Zeke may be the best charecter in attack on titan. After this masterpiece episode I find it hard for anyone to still say that Zeke isn't an amazing charecter. Only one episode left but it won't top episode 14 + 15 this was the climax of the series and it was amazing
Was Levi high?

Warning: Spoilers
For some reason my previous review was deleted. I just had to write this again.
Levi had Zeke where he wanted him. The dude is tied and will not be able to transform even if he is fully healed let alone when he is beaten up like that. However, Levi, who was apparently on crack, decides to attach a bomb that activates by motion to him yet he keeps slicing him.
Now, I love Isayama's story but this makes no sense for two reasons: 1- Nobody has enough control on their bodies not to move when being cut this way. Whenever Levi cuts at Zeke, Zeke will move out of pain which essentially means that Levi is committing suicide. No one could miss such a detail in real life. C'mon Isayama what kind of bad writing is this?
2- So Levi was telling Zeke that he will be killed soon by a titan but he should not move so that the spear does not detonate. Now, seriously, if anyone is in Zeke's shoes and you have one of two options either die alone or die and kill the one who killed you at the same time. What would you choose? How on earth would Levi give Zeke the power to decide their fate (yes Levi's as well because he is in close proximity).
I love the story. I am rating this as a 7 because it deserves a 10 for the Zeke's backstory and a big ZERO for the terrible writing of the last scene. I hope Levi is not dead. It would be a shame if the best character of the show is killed in a way that is not only anti-climactic but also degrades the character's intellect. Either way, it was a terrible writing. I was genuinely pissed by the ending.

This episode goes to show that the villain may be not be the villain at all- Zeke's life has been full of suffering and this episode really made us feel sympathy for him. Great writing and animation one again- interested to see how this last episode will play out.

What was Levi thinking about?
ricardoaib22 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Come on guys, Levi is one of the most intelligent characters on this show.
Why would he put a bomb in Zeke's neck? What could Zeke possibly do by moving his neck? He was already injured. All Levi had to do was keep cutting his arms and legs every 15-20 minutes but instead, for some reason, he thought that putting a bomb (that even a bump on the road could detonate) on his helpless hostage was a great idea.
Best episode of the final season so far.
mohabhefiny21 March 2021
This is the best episode of this season till now.
So much drama in this episode makes you feel like you watch a real movie not an anime.
Big thanks to the creators for this episode and the whole production.
I hope the finale be great like this one.
omg this episode

Just.
Everything. The voice acting. The animation. The music. The character moments.
I really don't want this season to end. I can't believe there's only one episode left. The last 15 weeks have flown by so quickly.
