This is the first season finale to not end with a cliffhanger.
Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) and Candice Patton (Iris West-Allen) had previously expressed interest in having a wedding vow renewal for their characters in The Flash because they had discomfort with how the wedding was done and wanted to have a wedding event for their characters in their own series instead of a "shotgun wedding" on DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
At Barry and Iris' wedding vow renewal, Bart is seen to be a talented singer. After making his Broadway debut in "Hamilton", Jordan Fisher appeared in the TV special Rent: Live (2019), the original Broadway production of which included Jesse L. Martin. The special also featured Kiersey Clemons, who is set to play Iris in The Flash (2023).
This Season of The Flash had 3 Story Arcs. The First Being The Second Part to the 'Mirror Master' Arc. The Second is The Force War (Speed, Strength, Still, and Sage) Arc. Which led to the Third And Final Arc of the Season the Godspeed Civil War Arc.
Much like the previous season, this season finishes with the unusually low numbers of just 18 episodes (and much for the same reason). Unlike the previous season, however, everything has been so neatly wrapped up at the end of this one that it could easily serve as a finale of the whole show if needed be.
