Everyone tries to move on, but it's a challenge.
Sleepin_Dragon15 October 2022
Those that encountered Jeff, are struggling to move on with their lives, even though he's inside, he's damaged people beyond belief.

The fact that he killed so many people, there were so many victims, so many loved ones, that there was almost a collective grief.

Here they show exactly what Jeff did to people, leaving many so scared, that they could no longer face daily life.

Glenda has become such an important character in this series, having faced one injustice, she very quickly moves on to another, her daughter's. The guy with the camera, what a jerk.

I have to just say this, it's perhaps a pity that this series wasn't perhaps condensed down to about 7 or 8 episodes, ten does seem quite a lot.

Still a good watch, 7/10.

Brayden Maniago adds to great performances
AsianTalentHollywood22 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode, like "Silenced" are the best because they tell the story of Dahmer, whose mental illness was not about sexuality, but his need for power and control, and the tragedy inflicted on hundreds on people beyond those he killed. The Sinthasomphone family story is the biggest story because they had two sons victimized. While one brother escaped, the other was brutally assaulted, escaped and return to Dahmer by the police when he told them it was his boyfriend. Glenda Cleveland fought for Konerak and told police he was a child. That fell on deaf ears and he was then murdered. It never should have happened. An immigrant family was not important to police. Glenda Cleveland who tried repeatedly to get police to listen to her was a poor black woman who wasn't important to police. There were five murders that never should have happened because people of color didn't matter. This is the story that should have been told.

Episode is Necessary
pdxqraj2 October 2022
Very frustrated with reviewers downvoting any episodes that discuss the racial component to Dahmer's murders. Most of his victims were people of color, especially once he moved to Madison. He frequented and lived in a diverse area where the police downplayed any screams of foul play. This Netflix production would be disingenuous in its retelling of these actual events without drawing attention to this very real component of these stories. This depiction is very accurate. So many whitewashed, revisionist depictions have already been created. You all will have to get used to shows being accurately correct as far as racial themes are concerned.

Like Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger Now

Brilliant episode about the lingering effects of Dahmer's destruction that one wouldn't typically think of when consuming serial killer content.

Negative reviews attack the sacrifice of some accuracy in lieu of pushing the agenda of exposing systemic racism. Although some details were altered for the story, the overarching state of affairs was accurately represented as a subplot in this episode and it was illustrated creatively.

Nash and all of the supporting cast deliver hauntingly strong performances as Dahmer continues to wreak havoc on their lives from afar and behind bars. Moving on is easier said than done...

Weakest Episode of the Series
peterslam1 October 2022
It's a weak episode not because of the lack of Dahmer but more about the liberties the writers take with the victims to fill time. They are playing with real people's emotions for dramatic effect. Also, no subtly with the racism of cops and people in authority, not saying it shouldn't be in the episode but it was badly executed. Plot wise is non-existent you could skip this episode and nothing would be missed. I get this is about real people and real events but it is still a TV series and there's only so many times you can be told the same information until it becomes unnecessary. You get enough of it in the other episodes you didn't need one completely dedicated to it. Judging by the reports the real victims didn't have a say in this series so all the behind close doors moments were either made up by the writers based on what they think they felt or told from an outside source looking to gain some creditability from a Netflix series which is ironic given half the episode is about people seeking fame for what Dahmer did.

Bizarre Message
Guitarbarian7 October 2022
I had very much enjoyed the show until this point if having a few issues with the depiction or lack of gruesome reality.

The concept of displaying a show from the perspective of such a strange and dangerous individual is naturally an interesting prospect. As the show moves away from this focus and real life account however is where the wheels fall almost entirely off.

This episode, in particular, seems to have taken such an artistic license with the source material that it veers so violently towards an at best fictitious sub-plot and at worst a blame removal for an incredibly dangerous and sordid individual. From reading criticisms of the show by those involved in the case first-hand, many of the scenes portrayed are not only not real or highly exaggerated but try to pen all of the fault of this notorious, wicked, and depraved murderer entirely upon a system of injustice.

Scarver was also a Loon

So more stretching the truth: The guy who killed Jeffrey Dahmer in prison doesn't need an excuse for having done so... We get it, and we were glad... But the writers of this partially fiction biopic has Dahmer goading the guy who kills him by imitating eating flesh... Dahmer was a scared rabbit in prison and he would not and did not goad inmates... Again, this is one of these things they have to do to give some kind of logical reason for everything... Life is strange and tragic and crazy on its own so you don't need to try finding some kind of logic from it (yes GARVER himself said this but he also said that God himself spoke to him, telling him to not only kill Dahmer but the other guy... so now let's take HIS word and make two complete episodes of it)... This isn't AHS but both Ryan Murphy and his boy Evan still think it is... Boring episode BTW... This should have been 3 parts, an hour a piece, and fill them with important stuff... If that happened, episodes like this wouldn't exist...

Netflix trying to be netflix
anooshe-5896024 September 2022
An episode in jeffery duhmer series and its all about how his neighbour and one of the family victims got traumatized ! Barely 10minutes about duhmer , its like glendas life after duhmer got arrested ! So, what happened to his classmates in high-school or his dads gardener ? How about the bartender of the club he was going to? Must be so interesting and related

Also, in a very childish way they try to show racism! Not that i deny nor promote it , but police officers pranking the asian family just because they are asian? COME ON! Grow up, are you guys trying to make a caricature out of this topic ? Why the hell does it even related ? Based on the series , if duhmers neighbour was not african Americans non would be happened ! The cops just ignore them because they are not white , and they realize it over the phone ! Isnt it kinda an insult to the victims or forging the whole truth behind duhmers story ?

Sandra never got arrested
mitchellgc25 December 2023
And the police offers involved never received "officers of the year". Total fiction. Imagine taking a show dedicated to emphatically distributing the disturbing truth about a horrific person's actions and his effects on the victim's families and then turning it into a personal narrative vehicle trying to plaster anti police views all over the place. Were the two particular cops involved awful individuals? Of course. Is the entire police force a cult made out specifically to ignore and hate certain "types" of people? Of course not. Wouldn't know that from watching a this episode though as they sure make it seem that way......hmmmmm......Making up fake events that did not occur very obviously shows that there is an agenda here trying to be pushed.
