- At the middle school, Anthony talks to Lia (whom he has a strong crush on), and they decide they should do something together. However, she then goes and talks to Kenny. After basketball practice, Zack and Anthony's other friends make fun of him for losing to Kenny again, and Anthony, jealous and embarrassed, steals Kenny's clothes from his locker before he can change, leaving him in his underwear.
At his apartment, Miguel prepares for a hard days training. Johnny arrives to take him to practice, and he and Carmen decide to tell Miguel about them over dinner. Miguel goes to Carmen's room to find her car keys, but instead finds Johnny's clothing. He puts things together quickly and confronts the couple. At the LaRusso home, Daniel finds Kenny's Cobra Kai sweatshirt in Anthony's room and asks for en explanation. Anthony dances around the issue, but implies that a kid from Cobra Kai has been bullying him at school. Daniel, assuming the cycle is repeating itself all over again, decides it's time to train Anthony in karate to defend himself.
Kenny trains harder and more aggressively at Cobra Kai as he relates the morning's incident to Robby. He decides to take brutal revenge on his bullies, but Robby is concerned he will get himself into trouble like he did. Class begins. The lesson: finding your enemy's weakness. Silver says that everyone has a weakness, even Kreese (which Kreese takes exception to). Kreese makes a bet with Silver. they each pick a fighter, whoever's combatants come out on top, wins. Johnny and Carmen sit down with Miguel to discuss their relationship. The situation is incredibly awkward, but Miguel insists that he's fine, and goes to get ready for practice. Carmen says he just needs time to adjust to the idea. At the dojo, the Miyagi-Dos are practicing their skills for the tournament. Anthony is impressed, but Daniel starts him off where all his students start: washing the cars. Anthony is disappointed, but Daniel assures him the monotonous work will be worth it.
At Eagle Fang, Devon arrives for training. She proves herself both an avid nerd, but also well versed in 80s action movies, which endears her to Johnny. He teaches the students how to withstand dirty fighting, which mostly consists of putting them through brutal punishment so they can build a pain tolerance. However, he keeps Miguel back out of concern for his safety, which alienates him from the other Eagles. At Cobra Kai, Kresse is winning the bet since he knows his students better than Silver, and is able to pick the perfect fighter to counter Terry's picks. Terry doubles down, and for the final match up, he picks Kenny to fight Robby. Kenny doesn't stand a chance against Robby physically, but Terry knows that Robby's weakness is his compassion towards the younger student. Kenny pretends to be hurt, and while Robby's guard is down, Kenny sweeps him, winning the fight. Silver uses this as another lesson: getting the enemy to think what you want them to think. Kreese is growing impatient with Silver hijacking his classes.
Daniel returns to the dojo and finds all the cars sparkling clean. At first he is proud and impressed, until he finds the hired cleaner finishing the job. Anthony hired out the work using Daniel's credit card. Daniel is upset at Anthony for disrespecting Mr. Miyagi's teachings, but Anthony admits he doesn't care about Miyagi's lessons. Daniel is disappointed in him, and leaves him be. Miguel takes his time getting home, making Carmen worried. When he arrives, Johnny tries to act naturally, but also the way he thinks a father should. This goes poorly, and Miguel admits he is not okay with the situation. Now that it's out in the open, everything has changed.
Anthony goes the LaRusso family dojo and admires the artifacts. He comes across the scroll Daniel received from Chozen in Okinawa as Daniel finds him. They talk, and Anthony admits that the reason he doesn't have the same connection to karate and Mr. Miyagi is because unlike Daniel and Samantha, he never really got the chance to know the man. Daniel tells him that when Anthony was born, Mr. Miyagi held him and the infant landed a kick to his face. Miyagi recognized him the person who would one day grow up to protect his family. Daniel apologizes for trying to force Anthony into doing something he didn't want to do, but offers again to help Anthony defend himself from his "bully". Anthony almost comes clean to his dad, but can't bring himself to admit the truth. At school the next day, Anthony decides he should try and make peace with Kenny, but Kenny is insults him, and lures him, Zack, and their friends to the deserted library. He turns out the lights and sneaks up on the bullies, taking them out one by one until he gets to Anthony. Before Kenny can take his revenge, a teacher finds them.
Johnny invites Miguel to skip school for the day so they can hang out and talk. Johnny apologizes for freaking out when Miguel found out about him and Carmen, and they bond over not having fathers in their life growing up. Miguel asks Johnny if he ever looked for his father, but the sensei says he's still too afraid to know the truth. Johnny does not want to make the same mistakes with Miguel that he did with Robby, and Miguel promises Johnny that while some things will change now, he still wants Johnny to be his teacher. Johnny obliges, and decides to train Miguel in a powerful kick: The Flying Tornado. Just then Samantha enters, having decided to keep training with Johnny against Daniel's wishes.
Amanda and Daniel are called to the middle school. They are frantic and assume Anthony is hurt, but while there has been bullying going on, the Principle reveals that it is Anthony who is the offending party. He shows the LaRussos proof, including hall security footage and mean spirited videos they posted online, as well as the cyberbullying. The Principle suspends Anthony and the other bullies. His parents are incredulous, and Kenny is satisfied that justice has been served.
Kreese takes Terry to task about his behavior during class, and warns him that if he continues to step out of line and "jump rank", there will be consequences. He reminds him that it was Kreese who saved him, first in Vietnam, then from his life of vegan cocktail parties and fake friends. Silver acknowledges his Captain, but is clearly upset at being spoken to in that way.
