The Garfield Show was made in France.
David L. Lander (Doc Boy), Julie Payne (Liz) and Gregg Berger (Odie) are the only actors to reprise their roles from Garfield and Friends (1988-1994), as Lorenzo Music (the original voice of Garfield) passed away in 2003 and at that time, Thom Huge (the original voice of Jon Arbuckle) announced he was retiring from ever portraying the character again. However, they are not the only actors to appear in both shows. Frank Welker (who is the current voice of Garfield) was various characters on Garfield and Friends, including Bo on US Acres segments. In addition, voice actress legend June Foray also made several appearances in Garfield and Friends before going on to win an Emmy Award for The Garfield Show.
This was the last Garfield animated show to have Stan Freberg, June Foray and David Lander voicing characters on this show before their sudden deaths in the years 2015, 2017 and 2020.
