The star of the new Hitman movie, Rupert Friend, chats to us about the movie, and videogames...
Rupert Friend is stepping into the shoes once trodden by Timothy Olyphant by starring in Hitman: Agent 47, that lands in UK cinemas this weekend. He took some time out from plotting our downfall to chat to us about the movie...
I've wanted to talk to you for quite a long time because I saw a short film that you wrote and thought it was fantastic, and wondered why you haven't made more of them.
Oh thank you, which one was it?
The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers.
I did make one after that, called Steve.
After seeing Suicide Brothers, I wondered why you don't write features.
I have. Basically after the Suicide Brothers I wrote and directed a short called Steve starring Colin Firth, which you can find, I...

"Ichabod is the hardest part I've played," Tom Mison, star of the freshman fantasy-drama "Sleepy Hollow," airing Mondays on Fox, tells Zap2it. "There's so much that we need to balance with him. To slightly veer in any one direction a little too much, and it will collapse."
"Sleepy Hollow" can be described as a combination of author Washington Irving (in particular, his stories "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "Rip Van Winkle"), the film "National Treasure" and the biblical book of Revelation.
Mison's Ichabod Crane was a spy for Gen. George Washington during the Revolutionary War, when he beheaded the Hessian Horseman and apparently perished. But, he survived and slumbered underground for over two centuries, only to emerge in present-day Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.
Stalked by the now-Headless Horseman and facing a variety of deadly supernatural forces, Ichabod has partnered with local police Lt. Abby Mills (Nicole Beharie...

Beat Pictures have just sent us some rather exciting new images and a rather cool poster and teaser trailer for their new movie, Steve. The Short Film will be debuted at this year’s London Film Festival and features a cast which includes Colin Firth, Keira Knightley and Tom Mison. It’s directed by Rupert Friend and has the rather lengthy synopsis which goes something like this:

What else do you need to know?!
This will be the second appearance for Knightley at the London Film Festival as she is also set to appear alongside Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield in Never Let Me Go. Knightley, Friend and Mison are all appeared in The Continuing And Lamentable Saga Of The Suicide Brothers which is available to buy on iTunes now or find out how it was made for free here.

Keira Knightley in The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers
Photo: Beat Pictures I've just received a trailer, poster and a few stills from the short film The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers featuring Rupert Friend and Keira Knightley, written by Friend along with Tom Mison (who also stars) and directed by Arran and Corran Brownlee.
The film is a fairytale along the same lines as something you'd get if you mashed together The Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson. The story follows the lives of two brothers, Barath (Mison) and Bourbon (Friend), and their daily suicide attempts.
Just prior to posting this I gave the short a watch and it clocks in at just over 8:30 and it's not half bad. It's got an amusing stop-motion animated effect going on with its snowy exterior shots as the brothers make their way to a small...

Check out the trailer for the eagerly anticipated short "The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers," starring Rupert Friend ("The Young Victoria"), Tom Mison and Keira Knightley ("Pirates of the Caribbean"). Arran Brownlee and Corran Brownlee direct from the writing by Mison and Friend. The fantasy is a sinister fairytale depicting the lives of two brothers and their daily suicide attempts. Employing a mesmerising mix of live action and CGI, directors The Brownlee Brothers have created an enchanting world, recalling the dynamic worlds of The Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson. This release comes after the July success of "The Summer House" starring Robert Pattinson that debuted at Number One on iTunes in total movie sales for the USA, UK, Canada, Germany and Ireland. The short will be released on Shorts International (www.ShortsInternational.com) on September 21st. Check out the site, it's pretty cool.
