[6.6] Ribs on fire
cjonesas25 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
56 whole minutes to basically watch a superb chalet with everything lit on, strolling around, eating ribs and baking chocolate cakes. Oh I forgot, some 15 minutes scenes at the dinner table staring at each other with greasy hands and hurt despised looks.

I surely missed something and I sure as hell wouldn't have left that place.

Spears Out

Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Rose, she is baking cake in the oven. Rose, Anna and Boone have arrived at the Elk Valley Lodge. Boone shows the Elk Valley Lodge to Rose and Anna. Anna grabs her weapon, she wants to find out who broke into the Elk Valley Lodge. Spears was the one who broke into the Elk Valley Lodge. Rose and Anna got reunited with Spears. Spears says to Anna that she has to take care of her mother Rose. Anna is crying. Anna shot Spears to death. Solid Episode of Black Summer Season 2, this was just okay. I hoped for some more exciting moments. This feels like the Series is bleeding out slowly till the end!

What an episode! This one has old-school horror vibes. Very well-done. The ending shocked me. Best season so far, Black Summer is not messing around!

This is way better than I remembered

Season 1 was quite satisfying and here I am finishing up season 2 - which is excellent I was concerned about the pacing at first but I was wrong . Every episode I find myself thinking " this is really, really good ... why isn't it more popular ?" Maybe it will be. I watched the first season smile in a remote place and binged it in an evening .this season I hoped to make Last but it's too compelling and I keep watching it - So yes , this is a yes ans I went from 7 to 9 stars for the series overall.

Did the reviewers watch the same episode?

It was slow yes. But we needed some time slow things down after so many action packed eps.

The character development was much needed and surprising at the end.

I would give it an 8 but i'm giving it a 10 just because of all of the bad reviews. People want zombies thrown at their faces for all the eps to be satisfied.

Warning: Spoilers
You have heat, food, water, clean rooms, shower.... But you leave because you think there's a plane that can take you to God knows where...

What, the, ffffff?!

Wouldn't you spend your whole life looking for a place like that to make your new home? But they leave... wow.

The slowest moving episode!

Got to the lodge and they ran out of story. Decided to try their hand at the soundtrack vibes and camera shots from the Shining, with a real swing and a miss!

Too long, too boring
MegaMaexn25 June 2021
Nothing much is happening here, this episode would have been much better if it had been trimmed by half. I generally like the long takes, but here you just want them to be over, it's way too gratuitous. Unfortunately a wasted opportunity to make the stay at the lodge more interesting and mysterious. (BTW why is everything in working order, nobody else around and no freaking zombie in sight?!?!)

I originally left an awful review but after rewatching this definitely was not a bad episode, little slow and had a frustrating outcome but overall not bad.

This didn't need to be 58 minutes long
DayeValentijn26 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One of the most boring episodes of television that I've ever witnessed in history. It consists of the following things:
  • An annoying little girl walking around slowly in a seemingly abandoned ski lodge;
  • People having fake deep talks about life and surviving in a post-apocalyptic world.

That's literally it.

And damn what a lame way for one of the best characters to leave the show so early on - a show that is still in its nascency with its limited amount of episodes.

I forced myself to finish this. I hope the season finale makes up for it. Although it won't bring back the wasted 58 minutes of my time.

Skip.

One of the worst episodes in the history of television
terrylarosa28 June 2021
Yap yap yap. Not that the literally mindless action has been any better. First the yapping, crazed lunatic; then the yapping dying one. Absolute, unmitigated utter trash garbage. Anyone liking this needs serious and I mean serious mental help. Hard core tediousness!!!
