Remember in season 1 when Darby had that episode with her mom who she had an estranged relationship with? This is basically the same except with Mia, and this time it is both of her parents. Also, Mia isn't even the main star of the show. Season 2 is supposed to be about Marcus and his love life. So why take this detour for a side character? The plus side is I can actually relate to Marcus a little in this episode, even though this episode wasn't really about him. So there has been some progress there. Overall the show is still underwhelming. At least Darby is actually in this episode. She feels a little out of place. But it was so refreshing to see Anna again that I honestly didn't even care.
