Not too bad

You know, I had no expectations from this movie. I haven't watched many Punjabi films, but thought this one looked pretty good. I wasn't disappointed, but not blown away either. I thought it was a worthwhile film. The leading man/men did well. There was plenty of humor to keep things light. The "leading" woman was...ehh...but the movie was fine despite her lack of range.

I enjoyed the movie enough to recommend it to others, but wouldn't hype it up too much to prevent disappointment. Overall good movie. Some of the songs had some audio/visual anomalies. I was never bored, but thought there were one too many songs, but that's just me.

I liked that there was always a "villain" lurking in the background of the story. He cracked me up every time he came on the screen along with his little "pet" that followed him around the village. The villain, a man who wants to buy all the land in the village to build condos, and he is up against the big, strong, Canadian Sikh who wants to maintain and preserve the village, but give it a little face-lift.
