The F Word
gangstahippie5 November 2009
The latest South PArk episode has the boys being angry with loud harley davidson riding bikers in their town.Being kids, they refer to the bikers as "f*gs".However after they spray paint the word, the homosexuals think it is about them and the boys try to have the meaning of the word changed. The episode basically revolves around the use of the word among different generations and wither or not it is acceptable to use it.That's South Park pertaining to modern culture, as usual. There is also a hilarious scene featuring Emmanuel Lewis(Webster), as the editor of the dictionary.Overall, it is a fairly funny, entertaining and good episode.

"cause there's plenty of straight people who are f****** fags"
RainDogJr5 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Thankfully here we have a big improvement over previous week's episode WHALE WHORES (it wasn't really bad to be truth). Here is an episode about a subject that Trey Parker and Matt Stone had in mind since long time ago: about a year ago I bought the DVD set of South Park's Season 9 and saw for the very first time many of those 2005 episodes, including this great one that deals with the subject of gay marriage. That episode is titled FOLLOW THAT EGG and what Trey and Matt say in its mini DVD commentary is basically what we have in this brand-new episode THE F WORD. In that mini commentary they begin talking about how back in 2001 (back when Season 5 was airing) they had a big fight with Comedy Central because in an episode, IT HITS THE FAN, they had Mr. Garrison saying the word fag. Comedy Central was like "you can't say fag, you can't do it" and Trey and company were like "but he, Garrison, is making a point, he is a gay man saying I can say fag because I'm gay"...in the end the word fag was said twice in IT HITS THE FAN (and the word s***? Anyone), or at least that is what Trey and Matt say in the commentary for FOLLOW THAT EGG when they are laughing of the fact that in FOLLOW THAT EGG Garrison say fag about 80 times and Comedy Central was like "yeah OK, whatever"! Now they can say fag all the time (Matt: "we did that for TV") and well Trey end the commentary with the right words: "there's a difference between fag and a homosexual, a fag, at least to a kid not the way Garrison is using it, is just a dickhead. I think fag is too great of a word, I think the gay should just give it up and just be gay and let fag mean a dickhead cause there's plenty of straight people who are f****** fags".

Well and like I said this is the episode about that, is the final statement towards the meaning of a word, in the end the word fag will no longer be associated with homosexuals but with real dickheads. It all begins with a gang of Harley-Davison bikers annoying people, certainly including Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny, with their noisy attitude. Then when South Park people think in dickheads those bikers come to their minds, and then when people think in fags those bikers come to mind. On one hand we have the stuff with the bikers, pretty hilarious stuff (you have to love that part when Cartman talks with the bikers and that little part with Ike) with these bikers don't really understanding why everybody is calling them fags (they are like "wft? We are the ultimate badasses!"), never getting that they're fags because they're truly annoying. On the other hand we have the homosexuals, certainly including Big Gay Al and Mr. Slave, seeing a real opportunity to put an end to the time of having the word fag as slang for gays (we, and the bikers, learn that once the word fag was slang for women, for poor people and for old people). The best parts of this episode are when the boys try to explain why when you say fag you're not really referring to homosexuals, who is a fag and who is a gay fag (and you also have to love when Big Gay Al is like "we should be all tolerant but not with this f****** people, they really are faggots"). Great episode, oh and Butters, well you better find out why here he is a bi-curios! And just recall the new meaning: Fag (făg) n. 1. An extremely annoying, inconsiderate person most commonly associated with Harley riders. 2. A person who owns or frequently rides a Harley.

You realize this has nothing to do with the "F-word", right?
brucewayne-19767 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I hope I'm not the only one who saw this episode for what it was, A thinly veiled commentary on race relations in the U.S.(and elsewhere, I'm sure). The F-word is substituted for the N-word. Loud motorcycles are substituted for car stereos. I mean, come on, they used fried chicken as bait! I'm surprised that they didn't have the bikers acting out in a movie theater. Does anyone have any real stories of bikers acting like disruptive, attention starved children? No? Me neither. The only thing that disappointed me about this episode is that Matt and Trey left any room for interpretation here. For some reason, they decided that was not OK to use the N-word, but fine to use the F-word. Sure, they're still pushing an envelope, but not all the way.
