The show this season feels like it's the pilot episode of some MTV where accomplishments mean nothing.
1. The advantages are so bizarre, everly powerful and extremely plentiful that it is dizzying to keep track of all this. The show used to hinge on athletic, social and mental toughness. All of which fans could admire...even if we hated how immoral the player could be. But now none of those traits are important. Winning a challenge doesn't matter anymore. Because every week there is a new stupid golden ticket to overthrow players who actually earned their spots. This is worse than that one season where like 10 idols were in play.
2. It's not that so much is going on. It's just feels disorganized in proportion into how much the show is trying to take on. Plus cutting the shows length on island bg 30% clearly makes the show seem rushed
3. And hearing the players act like this is the toughest season has never watched all the seasons. And definitely not the Australian version that is physically grueling.
4. The extent that inclusion is forcefully pushed in the show is offputting. The casting felt like a checklist but disproportionate to the viewing audience. I like diversity because often you learn something unique, but either they cast the worse people to represent the part of the checklist or the editing was something poor to highlight these individuals traits which typically survivor chases...as it's a self professed study of human exploration and experiences. This season falls so very short of this goal. The editing really made most every person as dimwhitted or in a bad light. Which I know can't be the actual reality. The show tried to correct past it's scandouliua misdeeds of overlooking sexual harassment and instead overshot the correction and just plain made a bad show.
The only worse season of survivor is Season 5 of South Africa survivor version.
