In his follow up to Emerging Past, director Thomas J. Churchill combines film noir with an impending zombie apocalypse in this new trailer for Lazarus.
Plus here’s a look at the making of the film.
1957 Hollywood CA. A telegram arrives at the office of George Lazarus, an Insurance Investigator to investigate a suspicious claim that was just put in by Deadly Sin Cigarette Company. Lazarus begins to schedule routine interviews with the twelve employees that are named on this claim. He learns that they all had just gotten fired for being sick at the job. …He never makes it back to the office. What seemed to be a normal Fraud Investigation case … may have turned out to be the beginning of the end for the human race.
His fiancée Bethany begins to worry as she realizes that he hasn’t been back at the office since early that morning when she last saw him.

Thomas J. Churchill So what exactly is it that makes a Thomas J. Churchill production or horror film different? What exactly is it that makes his brand of horror films & productions stand out? With efforts such as the upcoming Hallow Pointe, Mr. Hush and Emerging Past (both of which star Stephen Geoffreys), his films involve some kind of evil that is hiding beneath the surface of things and how it is brought out. Sometimes that evil is internal such as in werewolves in the star studded Hallow Pointe. Sometimes it is hiding behind the facade of any house, on any street in America such as in Mr. Hush. Or sometimes evil is hiding behind the facade of what appears to be a normal town in Emerging Past. With such an interesting trademark, it arouses a cuiousity into what else he can do in exploring this theme and what other evils...

Vampires of the sparkly, angsty variety may be all the rage now, but back in the ‘80s, bloodsuckers of the badass, human blood-drinking, motorcycle-riding variety were popular. Joel Schumacher’s cult horror-comedy The Lost Boys has been credited with bringing vampires into the mainstream and with making two of its actors – Corey Feldman and the late Corey Haim – pop culture icons. The Lost Boys tells the story of two brothers, Michael (played by Jason Patric) and Sam (played by Corey Haim) and their mother who go to live at their grandfather’s house in Santa Clara, California. But strange things are happening in the beachside town and it’s up to Sam to save his brother before it’s too late.
