Jon Bon Jovi shared that he’s not sure whether he will be able to tour again after undergoing vocal cord surgery a few years ago.
The legendary singer recently explained in an interview with Mix 104.1 Boston that he’s still recovering and unable to confirm if he’ll go on a tour for his band’s upcoming album Forever.
“I don’t know about a tour,” he admitted. “It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery.”
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer previously shared that he had undergone a procedure in 2022 after one of his vocal cords was “atrophying” — with one being “thick as the thumb” and the other vocal cord being “thick as a pinky.” At the time, he added that his “craft was being taken from me.”

Actress Jameela Jamil, who has previously battled an eating disorder, hates the slogan “no pain, no gain” because she doesn’t believe exercise should be viewed as punishment and says the quick fix for losing weight is “not sustainable.”
She told Grazia magazine: “It’s been quite heartbreaking, watching such an extraordinary rise of unhealthy attitudes towards bodies again after it felt like so much progress had been made. It really made me feel depressed, especially at the start of the year.”
“It has struck me that a lot of the narrative around these weight-loss injections has been that you get the results without the sweat, that we still look at exercise as this punishment. The idea of ‘no pain, no gain’ is such a horrible, outdated, stupid slogan that doesn’t mean anything.”

‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ – First Look at Dan Stevens as a Kaiju Expert Plus More New Images
While we wait for the final episodes of Apple TV+ series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” we’re also gearing up for the big screen return of Legendary’s Monsterverse. Godzilla and King Kong are back – and this time, they’re teaming up to fight a common enemy! – in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which will be unleashed only in theaters on April 12, 2024.
Total Film shares three new images from the upcoming sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong this morning, and these images highlight the human characters rather than the film’s monsters.
Rebecca Hall is back as Dr. Ilene Andrews with Brian Tyree Henry also returning as Bernie Hayes, and they’ll be joined in Godzilla x Kong by Dan Stevens (The Guest).
Stevens is playing a character named Trapper. The actor tells Total Film, “[My character is] a specialist in these creatures… If you’ve got a sick titan, Trap is your guy.

In an intriguing move, yet retro, move for Disney on the 2024 theatrical release calendar which is starving for product, three Pixar movies –2020’s Soul, 2021’s Luca and 2022’s Turning Red –which were sidelined on Disney+ during the pandemic, are getting special engagement theatrical runs. We hear all three will receive moderate to wide theatrical runs. The titles will remain in play on Disney+ during their new theatrical window.
The Oscar winning animated movie Soul will open on Jan. 12, while Turning Red will play on Feb. 9, followed by Luca on March 22. Tickets go on sale Jan. 2. All three will precede Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 which opens on June 14.
The press release reads that the studio invites “moviegoers to experience three Pixar films the way they were meant to be seen”. Disney’s re-release of older animated titles was a huge cash cow business that they practiced for decades even into the DVD era.

Godzilla Minus One is a blessing to Toho’s kaiju franchise and a towering accomplishment for the entire kaiju subgenre. Director and writer Takashi Yamazaki respects the balance between monster mashes and human perspectives, unlike our blockbuster domestic efforts, which oftentimes lean toward larger-than-life action thrills (although Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is off to an inspiring start). After thirty-plus films and nearly seventy years, Toho confidently delivers one of their best Godzilla movies to date. Other franchises can’t sustain momentum over a measly trilogy, where Toho’s city-smashing icon shows no signs of retreating to depths unknown.

Wyatt and Kurt Russell sat down for a wide-ranging convo at 92Ny on Wednesday, where the father and son duo dove into their collaboration on the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
First, though, Wyatt broke a little news when moderator Josh Horowitz asked about his role in the upcoming Marvel movie Thunderbolts, which the actor said has not started shooting (“We have almost started shooting that about 14 times,” with strike-related delays) and he has not read a finished script.
Despite that, “I have confidence it’s gonna be good,” Wyatt told the New York crowd. “I know everybody is sort of on this Marvel train right now of things not going so well,” he said, but commended the film’s team, listing co-stars Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour and director Jake Schreier.

From award-winning filmmaker Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) and the producers of The Gallows, Night of the Missing is a four-part holiday anthology that could best be described as a twisted take on “A Christmas Carol.”

The rescue mission to save Hollywood’s 2024 calendar — and the summer lineup in particular — has officially commenced now that the actors’ strike has been resolved. One source says some major film productions are up and running as of Thursday.
High drama unfolded on Wednesday as the studios informed SAG-AFTRA that it had until 5 p.m. Pt to decide whether to accept their final offer. Otherwise, the studios said there was little hope of saving the new TV season or the 2024 summer release calendar. “It’s catastrophic for the schedule if we don’t get a deal done,” explained one studio-side insider minutes before word broke that SAG had indeed voted to accept the offer.
Earlier in the day, Disney chief Bob Iger also sounded the warning cry when saying there wasn’t much time left to save his studio’s summer slate.

Legendary’s MonsterVerse Godzilla TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set to premiere on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, November 17, followed by one episode every Friday through January 12. (You can read our own Alex Maidy’s review of the first batch of episodes Here.) In anticipation of the show’s premiere, we’re taking a look back at several of Godzilla’s previous adventures to see how they stack up against each other. For the sake of keeping it as lean as possible, we’re focusing on his earliest days, going all the way back to the original Showa era, consisting of his very first outing in 1954, his first clashes with the likes of Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah and his cyborg counterpart, Mechagodzilla, before concluding its run in 1975. To add more familiarity to the pot, we’re also including his string of American blockbusters, from...

After the immense riches of Halloween weekend thanks to Universal/Blumhouse’s “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” the box office is suffering a sharp drop as the video game adaptation is leading the charts with just $19.4 million in its second weekend.
That total represents a 76% drop from the Blumhouse record $80 million that “Five Nights” scored last weekend. But that was expected by both Universal and box office observers given the film’s fan-heavy appeal and its day-and-date release on Peacock. That doesn’t change the fact that “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is already a big theatrical win with $217 million grossed worldwide and counting, against a $20 million budget, while setting viewership records on Peacock.
Still, it is a rough weekend for theaters and the box office to kick off the month of November, as overall grosses have plummeted nearly 50% from last weekend to just $65 million, with no major studio releases on the slate.

Bre Tiesi's complex relationship with Nick Cannon, the father of her son Legendary, was the center of a lot of drama in "Selling Sunset" season six, which premiered on May 19. The newcomer in Netflix's real-estate reality TV show was first announced as a cast member in August 2022, alongside longtime Oppenheim Group employee Nicole Young. Upon Tiesi's arrival to the Oppenheim Group in season six, her connection to Cannon ruffled a few feathers at the office - namely with costar Chelsea Lazkani. Throughout the season, Tiesi remained fairly open about her situation with Cannon - he's fathered 12 kids total with six women - despite some of her costars being openly against it.
In one season six episode, Young said of Cannon, without Tiesi present, "I don't understand his motivation, you know, if he does love these women, why complicate it? It's already complicated." Meanwhile, Lazkani, at one point, called...

Warning: This article contains Power Rangers Dino Fury episode eight spoilers.
For the better part of 20 years Power Rangers has actively resisted a strict continuity. Sure it would drop a reference here or there but most of the time the show was content to keep its season closed off from one another. When we did get references or connections to the past they were often throw away at best and actively contradictory at worst. Sure we had a few great callbacks like Dr. K’s return in Beast Morphers but on the whole, attempts at continuity were few and far between and rarely successful. However when Power Rangers’ newest season, Dino Fury, premiered something was very different.
The first episode brought back the Morphin Masters, a group of characters that hadn’t been seen in the show since its first season but were intensely speculated on by fans. Unlike many...

Scout Productions, the company behind Netflix’s Queer Eye and HBO Max’s Legendary, is looking to take the “secret sauce” of those two unscripted shows in to new worlds that have yet to have had their moment on television.
Co-founder David Collins and President Eric Korsh told Deadline that during the pandemic they doubled down investment in developing new projects that could tell authentic, diverse stories in the non-scripted space.
Korsh said it is looking to work with “unheard” voices or “people you don’t expect to see on television” and that representation across its shows is the “core through line to everything we do”.

Netflix said Monday that it has set Kong: Skull Island helmer Jordan Vogt-Roberts to direct a live-action Gundam, based on the iconic Japanese mecha franchise. As production began Thursday night in Stamford, Conn., on the new HBO Max ballroom voguing competition series “Legendary,” producers confirmed the role of “The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil on the show.
“Legendary” executive producers David Collins and Rob Eric told Variety that Jamil would serve as a judge on the show, but not as Mc. An HBO Max press release earlier this week said Jamil would serve as the show’s Mc — which quickly sparked an online outcry.
Jamil was criticized for not being representative of ballroom culture, which was founded by primarily black and Latinx Lgbtq people in New York in the late 1980s, and that the gig should have gone to one of the many veterans of the scene who are still active. Dashaun Wesley, nicknamed the “King of Vogue,” will instead be the show’s Mc, with DJMikeQ on the turntables. Megan Thee Stallion, Law Roach...

HBO Max has released a statement following significant backlash to its announcement that “The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil had been tapped to Mc and judge its ballroom voguing competition series “Legendary.”
“Yesterday, HBO Max was excited to announce Dashaun and Jameela’s involvement in the series ‘Legendary.’ For clarity, Dashaun is the series’ Mc/Commentator, and Jameela heads up the panel of judges alongside Leiomy, Law, and Megan,” the statement, released late Wednesday night, read.
The initial release from the forthcoming streamer clearly stated that Jamil had been chosen to carry out both important roles of Mc and judge on the show. However, the release produced a negative response, particularly from members of the Lgbtq community who accused Jamil of not being representative of ballroom culture, which was founded by primarily black and Latinx Lgbtq people in New York in the late 1980s.

HBO Max has announced that actress Jameela Jamil will serve as Mc and judge on “Legendary,” the streaming service’s upcoming unscripted competition series.
“Legendary” turns modern day ball culture into a competition, featuring divas battling on teams called “Houses” in challenges involving fashion, dance and voguing. Each house is comprised of five performers and a leader. The 9-episode series features the teams facing off against one another for a trophy and cash prize. Each episode features a different themed ball and extensive footage of the competitors preparing behind the scenes.
Jamil had recently been starring as a regular cast member on “The Good Place” on NBC, alongside Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. The show aired its series finale on Jan. 30, completing its four-season run.
Jamil is only the latest addition to the panel of judges for “Legendary.” Previously announced judges include Megan Thee Stallion, Law Roach and Leiomy Maldonado.

Godzilla Vs. Kong, the latest installment in Legendary’s MonsterVerse, was originally set to hit theaters in March, but it turns out that even two of cinema’s most iconic monsters aren’t immune from a release date reshuffle. The epic smackdown between the two enduring favorites was recently delayed eight months until November, reportedly due to some poor reactions from early test screenings. In what was surely no coincidence, a series of extensive reshoots for the project were announced shortly after news of the delay broke, and while additional filming on big budget blockbusters is hardly out of the ordinary, the studio have a lot riding on the success of Godzilla Vs. Another year gone by, which means it’s time to look back at a year of Hollywood franchises — and ahead to what’s to come. Disney, as expected, cleaned house in 2019. But what about the rest? Which franchises will get sequels and which will fall by the wayside?
The Finales: Some sequels did not have designs to set up another sequel, but rather to provide closure and cash in on years of building fandom. Universal was successful in this endeavor early in the year with “Glass” and “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.” But the big finale of the year was, of course, “Avengers: Endgame,” the new box office king.
Sequel?: No, but don’t be surprised if Toothless and Iron Man return in several years for a revival attempt.
